My Long Island Bethpage Black/Red/Montauk Downs trip got scrapped due to only being able to get LATE tee times on Black that would not have allowed us to get 18 holes in. As a back up plan I played the following courses in Connecticut:

1. Shennecossett GC (1898) designed by Donald Ross Posted Image
2. Wintonbury Hills GC Pete Dye designed
3. Richter Park GC (Connecticut's #1 Public Golf Course).

I also played Bergen Hills CC (northern New Jersey), another Donald Ross/Orrin Smith design.

All four of these tracks were AWESOME!

I'll get the rest of them up later this evening!

Great pics!

I've played Shenney several times and love that course. The 4th hole is the hardest par 3 I've ever played. There isn't even a close second. I absolutely love the layout and the finishing holes, especially 16, are great.

Richter is a fantastic course, and it's a steal for Danbury residents. Otherwise it can be quite difficult to get on...

take a look into the yale course. it's rated the 44th haredst course in the world. Its usually in great shape and is very different from most other courses.
