Just bought a pair today from Dick's for $75.  They were on clearance for $99.97 and all clearance items are currently 25% off.

Just be sure to call ahead as not all Dick's carry Ecco's.

I am enjoying my pair in white. At $75 I may pick up another pair in black. Puzzling why a hot item would be on clearance.

Yes, Ecco Street Premier, and they actually went to $50.  The reason is that the clearance sale on clothes and shoes at Dick's increased to 50% off lowest clearance price (another thread on this over in the Deal/No Deal section).  The one Dick's store I found my Ecco Stret Premier said they are no longer going to carry Ecco's so all their Ecco shoes were on clearance.  They had one more pair of size 9/9.5 in brown left for $50.  They also had a few pairs of the Classic's for $50.

I brought my receipt in and they credited me back another $25.

Have had a pair of the Eccos since late June.  Most comfortable shoe I own (golf or otherwise).  I am not a fan of the FJ's look (just my opinion).  I tried on the Ashworth's the other day,  love the look, their cheaper than the Eccos, they have a 2YR waterproof warranty, Eccos have none,  BUT, they seem less comfortable (leather is more stiff).  I'm not sure if they would soften up.  I hace not had a problem with the Eccos and moisture and play at dawn with a lot of dew around.  HOWEVER, I did spend $8 on a can of KIWI Campdry and sprayed them as a precaution. I can say they are holding up great. I amlooking to get a white/stone pair and Ashworth does not offer that color so I guess Ecco will be the brand and I have no issue with that.

I have both the Ecco's and the Cardiff's. I have to say the Cardiff's are more comfortable. They tend to be a bit wider in the toe area were the Ecco's are a bit narrower through the same area. My toes feel cramped and less comfortable in the Ecco's. In addition, I prefer the stud on the soles on the Cardiff's. They tend to have a bit more grab than the Ecco's. Finally, the price of the Cardiff's make them a no-brainer for me.

Oh, and the FJ's are just plain fugly. They look like the Keds PF Flyers from back in the day,

Something about these have me really excited, but it's not the MSRP of $180. I'd change the laces to white and wear daily.

Got 3 pairs of the Ecco's. They're awesome. Got my first pair fathers day and basically haven't worn traditional golf shoes since.

I agree 100%!  I cannot wait to get a pair of these.  Think they will be pretty much the perfect golf shoe for someone looking for comfort and stability.  I love my Street Premieres but they could have just a little wider toe box and a little more natural movement ability for your feet.  I tried the Trues thinking they would be what I was looking for but IMO they were just terrible for a golf shoe with no stability at all during your swing.  That plus the fact that they were very cheaply made and kept falling apart on me.  These Biom Hybrids looks like just what the doctor ordered.

I found out about the new Callaway 'casual' style shoe that will be coming out next year.  Will post a picture the next time I have a chance.  It looks similar to the Ecco/Ashworth/Adidas style.  Did not get to try on a pair as they did not have a sample in size 14.

Anyone get to try the sales sample of these yet?

Like the Ecco Street Premier of the three -- already have a couple of pairs of Kikkors so the FJ Street'd be redundant. The Ashworth shoe is a shameless copy of the Ecco style-wise, although I'd like to try them both on to see which last pleases my feet more. These days in these parts waterproofness may  also be a factor.

One concern I have with both Streets is the longevity of the moulded sole nubs, 'cause when they're gone, they're gone, aren't they?

The ECCO street premier is getting a lot of love, and I love Freddy, but a shoe that I consider to be cool would not be worn by a 52 year old.

I think the FJ Streets look fine in white on white as the toe isn't standing out. The other colors do not look very good though IMO.

Eccos were very comfortable, but $139 for non-waterproof? Huh??? FJ and new Adidas felt cheap and and just didn't fit right. Haven't found the Ashworths locally to try. I'll stick to the traditional waterproof shoes for approximately the same price.

ECCO all day. Only shoe where the upper is ChEmiCaLLy BoNdeD to the sole so waterproofing will never let you down. Just replace the innersole with a Doc Scholes and you're set! New non-leather Street Premieres are out now. Freddy loves 'em, so do I. SoCal 4 life

Not 100% sure about this but I believe the Ashworth Cardiff's are water-proof. I believe it's on their site.

They are available in Southern California. I purchased a pair about two weeks before Christmas at Roger Dunn Golf Shop. The hybrids are really comfortable. They are more comfortable than my Ecco Street and 360 ATV. I also like walking in my hybrids without socks. You experience a total different feeling when golfing.

Eccos all the way as aside from the comfort the sole design is very clever and as others have said no slippage

I own both Eccos and FJ Street. I like that the Eccos are spikeless,  but they aren't nearly as comfortable as their other shoe lines. The FJs are one of the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. I even removed the spikes and wore them around town one day.

Also, Trues are comfortable but when I tried them on, they looked like clown shoes to me...

I agree... I had the ecco's and they weren't cushioned enough the Cardiff's are much more comfortable for me at least.

I like the FJ streets. I think they look the best in all white. I don't understand why people think the spikes make them look bad, because I like the idea of a comfortable casual looking show that I can keep using because the spikes can be replaced when they wear down unlike the others. And IMO they feel more stable.

Love my Ecco street, comfortable and I don't have to change shoes at the golf course.  It take about 4-5 min to change shoes.  I golf about 60 times a year.  Thats about 240-300 minutes (4-5 hrs) of my time.  Definitely worth every penny.
