After getting a few rounds in with the Ashworth's my ranking (of having and wearing all three)

T1: FJ and Ashworth
3:  Ecco

The only thing (in my opinion) that the Eccos have going for them is that they come with 2 pairs of laces, and thats pretty cool.  That and the white ones aren't backordered until September (like the Ashworths are from what I hear).

I'm not really a huge fan of this style shoe, but if I had to pick from the ones you pictured, based on looks only, I think I'd go with the Eccos.

I'm pretty sure that I am the only person who thinks this new wave of street shoes looks terrible, but whatever makes you happy I guess. I'll stick to my AdiPures

Huge ECCO fan and wear their black Biom's as primary shoe....but I bought the FJ's because I prefer the  look and they surprised me how comfortable they were.

As a over 50 golfer, I have been using the ECCO for 8 months now and so far it's cushioning and comfort has not broken down over time. That's a good thing. I purchased the ECCO due to the fact that I have been using the dress shoes for years and have never had an issue with their shoes. The light weight and build quality is what I looked for.  I was a FJ wearer for years but these ECCO's so far after 8 months are holding their own.

I just ordered some of the Ashworth Cardiffs online off of eBay...I'm up at the lake for the 4th but hope the shoes will be home when I get back and then I'll take them out to the range.

I have some Adidas shoes now (don't know the name) and saw the FJ Street and loved the look as I'm a converse guy but when I tried on all three it was a toss up between the Cardiff and FJ Street and when I saw the Cardiff online and was able to win the auction for the same price as the Street I went with the Cardiff for a spikeless shoe.

I'll check back in when I get them and hit the range and let anyone interested know how they hold up.

sounds like fj has some QC problems.  I tried on the FJ and the felt like old converse allstars(which i expected...but I was hoping to be impressed) and had no padding.  My back told me not to buy them

The eccos felt much better. But I didnt buy them either.

For reference I have put my foot in every golf shoe except true spikeless and this is the most comfortable golf shoe ever...

I've got the Eccos.  They're great shoes, very comfortable, clean up easy in the washing machine.  But I wouldn't pay $140 for 'em (received as a gift).  At that price I'd just buy a comfortable pair of Skechers for $55-$60.

I'm with most of the other Ecco players on here. Tried them on after getting sick of my feet hurting after 18 and haven't looked back since. No slippage, comfortable and look great.

I got the street premiers last january with some gift cards for my birthday.
I must say they are very comfortable. I do not think i would have made the purchase without the gift cards, as $140 is pricey.

The only issue I have is that I routinely play in the mornings (8 AM) so the cut grass clippings are wet and clog up the mini-spikes.  That significantly reduces the grab they can provide when I address the ball.

Cardiff is listed as waterproof and the Ecco is not, that would be a selling point for me as I play in the dew

I've been playing the Ecco's most of the spring/summer...great comfort and find they are plenty water resistant for my feet... I will say the rubber spikes are showing some wear, which I'm a bit surprised by...but thats expected for a spikeless shoe.

I also got a chance to try on the Ashworths- I like the look of them and was interested in a comparison- all that died once I put them on- as the liners are super slick and felt like my feet couldn't grip the shoe- too bad nice looking shoes...

I have a bad/sore left foot under the balls of my feet.  Picked up the Ecco SP in Black/Red on eBay for $109 w/ free shipping.  So sweet.

I dunno if it is the shoes, but shot the round of my life the first time with the shoes.  a 73 today on a very tough course...No I don't know what to do with my pairs of Adidas...

Be warned the Ecco's run 1/2 a size bigger...

Have you actually put them in the washing machine? More than once? Insoles or the entire shoe"?

I like the look of all them but if I were going to shell out the bucks I would buy the Ecco's . If there good enough for Freddie then there good enough for me.

I am a self avowed clean freak. My Ecco's are in the washing machine as I type this.
Results to follow. Good luck to me.

I only own the Eccos. They definitely have plenty of traction. My problem with them is they have terribly cheap footbed inserts. I have very flat feet and need arch support. I haven't gotten around to it yet only having worn them a couple of rounds, but before I wear them again, I will get some Dr. Scholls or similar type of footbed insert for the shoes.

Just bought a pair today from Dick's for $75.  They were on clearance for $99.97 and all clearance items are currently 25% off.

Just be sure to call ahead as not all Dick's carry Ecco's.

I have a pair of the Ashworth's and Ecco's and for me the Ashworth are more comfortable. The Ecco shoe is very nice but a bit narrow. I love FJ shoes but the Streets are plain ugly!

I need to check this out.
I am enjoying my pair in white. At $75 I may pick up another pair in black. Puzzling why a hot item would be on clearance.
Are we talking Ecco Street Premier?
