Due to Sandy my trip was extended by 1 day which didnt turn out so bad since I just got power back earlier today
I only had minimal damange from the storm.... a broken front light and a down pine tree limb in my driveway

In order of what I thought...

1- Barona Creek
2- La Costa (Champions)
3- Rustic Canyon
4- Torrey South
5- Torrey North
6- Riverwalk Mission - greens were phenominal!
7- Black Gold - Well kept....awful layout
8- Lost Canyons Sky

I live in Simi Valley and have watched Lost Canyons erode to crap. A big fire wiped out the 2nd 18holes/

We have five courses better than that track in the area

Wood Ranch  (private) My course  Seniors and LPGA both have played there.
Terra Reijda  Target course if you drive well  well maintained
Rustic Canyon   Links course than is wide open but beware the putting is different.
Moorpark CC   Carts only do to a long path between holes   good course
Simi Hills GC   Older and  a city course

The gentleman that I played with on Monday suggested Terra Reijda over Lost Canyon but I wanted to see for myself....DON'T MAKE MY MISTAKE!!!!

I decided on La Costa instead... I played that morning at Black Gold and stopped by the Santa Ana RD store.... Rather than get possibly stuck in traffic heading down to the SD area I decided to drive down to La Costa and tee off before 2....they gave me the twilight rate

I know that everyone raves about Pelican but I couldn't justify spending over $300 to play there when I was able to play La Costa for $135 and avoid traffic....honestly I think I made the right choice! La Costa is really nice, I think it is worth it's price again.

Sorry to hear about your experience at Lost but you got to play some other good tracks.
