Rebby-  You seem to be in the know with this brand.  Where/rough estimate on price could I get fitted in MN.  I would want 5-P in something for a 12 hcp.  52,56,60

The only Miura dealer that I know of in MN is Totally Driven in Oakdale. Miura dealers are listed on the Miura website. It doesn't appear that they are all listed though (mine isn't, I believe that he goes through a distributor).

What I did when I got mine is went through various fittings to determine what shafts best fit my game. Then I placed an order based on my specs with PlayersEdge. I started with a set of a Scratch SB-1's. About a year later I made the switch to a set of Miura Tournament Blades and, again through Ted, had him build me a set and slightly tweaked my specs based on my real world experience w/the SB-1's (what I liked, didn't like, etc). We got it spot on with the TB's so when I made the move to the 1957's shortly thereafter, I stuck with the specs that we'd used w/the TB's.

If I were in your shoes I'd start by having a few conversations with PlayersEdge. See what he recommends and go from there. I believe that joey3108 is also a Miura dealer, might want to contact him as well. A full on fitting like you could get at Totally Driven is also a great idea (although, I'm sure you'll pay quite a bit more for a build from them than you would from one of the forum members here).

Good luck!

They really are the best iron in golf right now. I've been really impressed with them. Great clubs.

Anyway, I added a few pictures to the first post. There is one picture of the custom paintfill that I did on my primary set of 1957's. I also added a few pictures of my black chromed Titleist 680's (4-9). I have another set of 680's being refinished at the moment. I expect them to return with a similar finish any day now.

Add a comparison picture of the 1957 Baby Blades sitting next to a Scratch SB-1. Quite honestly, I was surprised just how small the SB-1 is. There really is nothing to fear when it comes to the baby blade.

I added a new driver to backup bag!

:partytime2:

With any luck it will take the top spot in my primary bag sometime soon...

After a 6 week testing period, I've also made the change to S+ KBS C-Tapers in my primary irons. I'll be doing the swap in my backups over the winter. Check out my C-Taper review.

Here are a few pics of the Yonex Ezone Type 380 next to an FT Tour.

The "satinizing" process is a custom, by hand, process that my club builder uses. I'm don't know the exact details on how he does it and, without expensive equipment, I don't think that it can be duplicated anyway. Contact PlayersEdge if you're interested in getting your hands on those shafts.

Nice Bag!

Where did you get those Titleist blades refinished? Those looks sweet and I'd love to do that to my 690's over the winter.

K&J Metal Refinishing did them. They did a very nice job and the price was reasonable as well.

You gotta have a 2-iron! I keep hearing about these "hybrid" things, still not sure what that is or why you'd want one...

Sounds good to me!  (cool)

I've actually been considering selling one of the Buttonbacks. I'd like to add a Classic I and 009 to my collection but, short of that, I'm not feeling the urge to add anything else.

As noted in the text, they are black chrome. It's not black like the limited Miuras though, it's more of a dark chocolate brown. Pretty sharp looking and it's reflective, very much like gun bluing.

I'm just worried that "Golf" isn't listed as an interest on your website - imagaine what your collection would look like it it was elevated to interest!!

Also, I can only imagine how cool it must feel starting on the first tee with that 2 iron in your hand, how could you ever hit a bad shot with that!!

You need under my "hobbies" link? I guess golf never made it there because I never took many pictures of my gear or various courses. This has obviously changed over the past few years. My website is horrendously out of date though. I keep pictures of the kids up there for family members but I've been spending much more of my "free time" working on websites for other people (in addition to my day job, I own a few small companies, IT consulting is one of them).

Exactly! When I was in high school I always liked hitting 2-iron off the first tee. It was almost guaranteed to put me in the fairway, often times I even hit it as far (or further) than the other guys in my group. People these days seem to be scared of long irons. It's kinda sad.

So was I. The baby blades do appear to be smaller when you're hitting balls but, side by side, it's not by much. The SB-1 is very similar in size to most modern blades as well so, like I said in my OP, there isn't anything to fear when it comes to the baby blades.

Hmm, sounds like it's time to call a few custom putter builders. The hard part there will be nailing down which one you want to go with.

Ah, PayPal input/output, blah, blah. Buy up that BB, you'll be glad that you did. That one is selling super cheap too. Most that I've seen lately are in the $800+ range. I would have bought it by now if I didn't already have a 2 of them. Somebody had to have bought it by now???

Most of the pictures were taken when the clubs were still pretty new. I play a pretty soft ball so the club faces don't get beat up too bad but there is some wear. Well, at least more now than there was when I took those pictures.
