Ping Hoofer, which is really for me second place as you did not include the Sun Mountain SLX. New bags are always fun, until you use them and then there is always something the old bag had that you really miss.

Nope this is not a relationship story!

i own a 09 grom and the cart strap is great.  the bag itself is very functional.  everything still works great.  its my multi purpose bag.  i may plan to walk and end up riding and its great.  i may think about riding but end up walking and its great.  i prefer 14 way dividers but the grom is a great multi purpose bag

Taylormade Supreme Hybrid bag is AWESOME.  Lighter than the NIke SQ, it has a huge cooler with drainage ports and the straps remove easily for cart duty.  It fits on a cart perfect, but is light enough to be carried.  14 top and clubs do not get tangled.  Just a great bag overall.

Are the water bottle pockets on the sun mountains (specifically slx) insulated?  The one on my current bag is and does a great job keeping the drink cold.  Thanks.

The water bottle pocket in the sun mountain slx and
3.5 are not insulated

I voted for 3.5. Has the cart friendly bottom and cart strap slot

Ditto.  I use a PING 4 Under as my usual bag as I walk most always, but for events or times when I know I'm riding, I use an '09 Grom that I won.  I also carried it exclusively for most of a summer, then decided to go ultralight since I walk nine in the evenings.

I use a 4 under, mostly because I like to keep things light and simple, however I voted for the Hoofer, the Ping bags are the best because they dont have a foot on them, which makes it simpler to get them to fit in all carts.

2011 SM 4.5......14 full length dividers,  cart friendly base, and no complaints from the caddies.  Storage is not huge but room for raingear, and all NECESSARY stuff.

I just got the Callaway Hyperlite 4.0 stand bag and it works nice on a cart/ or walking. The straps are comfortable to me once you adjust them the dividers are nice and it has a ton of pockets. Drink holder is not insulated though.

I like the SM Four 5/Titleist Premium but only for 2011.  Prior to that these two stand bags did not fit well into some riding carts.  For 2011 the bags now have CFB on them, presumably for "Cart Friendly Base" or "Cart Friendly Bag".

Last year's Callaway FT.  Tons of pockets and bumpers on the legs to prevent scratches against the cart bag holder.

I choose "Sun Mountain four 5/Titleist Premium" and I can tell you that I have owned nearly every bag in the selection and these are the best bags based on the OP question...they are excellent for carrying and they fit perfectly on a cart.  However, they use to not fit well on carts until Sun Mountain tweaked the design and came up with the "CFB" (Cart Friendly Bag) concept last year.  That is the reason I have tried nearly every bag in the selection because I had owned an old design "Four 5" and besides sometimes having trouble getting to fit on a cart (putting it sideways, backwards etc...) it was the best carry bag I have ever owned for the following reasons:
1) Great carrying straps (confortable and easy to put on and take off)
2) 14 dividers work great and keep clubs organized
3) Pockets are plenty to carry all of my stuff
4) Handle at the top of bag makes it very simple to move and set down when taking off of your shoulder but it is never a distraction or in the way when riding
5)  Many colors scheme to pick from

Again now that they are "CFB" bags I see no reason to ever own another bag as this bag (picutre of the one I own below)serves all of my needs.  Good luck with your search

My 11' Ogio grom is awesome.  Fits perfect on a cart and the torq strap is great.

I would offer another bag for this vote, the discontinued Sun Mountain MPB (Multi Purpose Bag).

My 3.5 is at least 4 years old, and my MPB is at least 2 years old, and both are marvelous! The MPB has a large insulated drink bag I can put two 20 oz bottles of liquid in.

The 3.5 is even better because it has bags made for left handed players, and as a lefty the bag is so much more comfortable than a bag for RH players. I wish, oh how I wish more people would make stand bags for left handed players!

This is the answer....Bennington Zone III. I got this bag about a month ago and its absolutely great. At first, I wasnt too sure how I felt about it. Now that I have had a chance to use it, I love it! This bag looks sharp, has 14 full length dividers,  an external putter holder, the bottom fits perfectly in a cart and it was only $130.

Not sure if this poll is still active, but thought I would point out, the SM 4-5 and Titleist Premium are very different bags, so probably should not be combined as one option.

the sm four 5 and titleist 14 way are essentially the same bag.  Premium doesn't have the 14way top

I second that. The Tourque Strap is what makes this one of the best cart bags. A little heavy to carry but can be done.

Also have a Grom. Love it, far and away my favorite bag I have ever used. I haven't had any issues with the cart strap not working on any carts. I will agree that it is on the heavy side, although after properly adjusting the straps I walked a few hard courses with it last week and felt really good doing it.

I think Ogio's main advantage is the thoughtfulness of the pocket designs, grabbing any needed item is super easy, even with the bag on your back while walking.

Took delivery of  my Grom today.  What an amazing bag.  Ogio must have been making golf bags a very, very long time because I can't imagine how it could possibly be improved.  They thought of literally everything.

Edit:  Amazon has these for 149.99 right now in Stealth Black only.  They carry the other colors, but they're pricier.

Got a SM3.5 a few months ago after having an MPB for years and a Grom before that.

The current version with the CFB and the cart strap holder makes it much more well behaved on a cart than my MPB, which had a tendency to twist sideways.  Very lightweight, and sturdy stand mechanism.

I'm one of those anal about organization types so going from a 14 way divider to a four way was something I worried about, but I find this to be almost the perfect number of dividers.  I think the key is that all 4 compartments are fully divided.  I don't miss the extra or insulated pockets on the MPB anywhere close to as much as I thought I would.

The Sun Mountain MCB bag.  It is designed to fit perfectly into a SM 4 wheel micro cart.  Plenty of storage and yet lightweight.  It has 15 slots for clubs with the woods going in the middle and Irons on the outside.  It is a great setup!
