I currently game 52*, 56*, and 60* Vokey Spin Milled wedges. I love the Vokey wedges, but I'm wanting to switch lofts to fill in my current distance gaps. Thinking about going with 50*, 54*, and 58...

My question is do y'all think the "M" grooved TVD's are worth the extra $30/club? If so which lofts would y'all get in the "M" grooves? All three of the clubs, or just specific ones?

Thanks in advance!

I think the TVD wedges are the best ones out there.  Yes, it's worth the extra $30 to get the M grind.  I like the grind as it gives me more versitility over the stock clubs.  You have to decide for yourself on the lofts.

I have standard sole 54 and m grind 60...that also seems to be a popular setup on tour.

What about the 200 series? Can anyone compare the characteristics of the TVD vs. 200?

I have Spin Milled CC 50/54 and TVD CC 60.  I love the versatility of the M grind in the 60* and it is worth the extra $, at least for me.

Good luck!

I have the Black Oxide 52 and 58. I would certainly get the M grind on the 58 as it is extremely versatile when you need to open up the blade, especially from tight lies. I also like it on the 52 because occasionally when hitting a little chip with the 52 I want a little more loft, and the grind makes is very easy to open up a touch. Both excellent wedges.

M grinds are fantastic, really are worth a few extra bucks. I was lucky enough to find a set of Vokey Studio black nickels a while back and absolutely love them...BB

I have an m grind 60* and although its the first time I have used a 60* so have nothing to compare to it seems to lend itself to a decent variety of shots, especially from tight lies.

Cheers Ross.

What's the difference between the TVD M Grind and the Spin Milled M Grind?

I didn't know you actually played BB!!! Judging by what you put on the bst, I thought you were just a collector. Lol jk

The M grind is like a 10 that swallows. Perfect.

Hey guys, I'm looking to buy a 54 and 60 degree vokey.  I currently have the old 200 series 54.10 and 60.08. I didn't care for the shape of the Spin Milled wedges.  Is the TVD M Grind wedges more like the 200 series ( tear drop shap) or the spin milled head shape.  And do you recommened the m grind in the 54 degree wedge.  I use 54 degree from 100 yards in fairway and sand trap and chipping.  Keep in mind im LH

I'm sure they are identical grinds, just different wedges that are offered by Vokey Studio. If they are indeed the same really no reason to spend the extra cash unless you are Ho-junkie like some of us...BB

As the op said you have to experiment and find your own setup. I bought the TVD 56 and 60. Love them! THe grind suits my game. Both are automatic from the bunkers. Black Nickel finish. I think they are worth the extra. I did not go for all the 'frills.' Basic club, KBS shaft-$159.00.

I thought the grinds look similar and the bounce is identical.
