Hi all,

I have a slim waist (31 inches) and dislike how much fabric is in the average gold shirt, particulalry around the waist.  Can anyone recommend any good trim fitting/athletic cut golf shirts?

Thanks!

I've found subseventy's shirts to be slim fitting.

Pretty much anything at J. Crew will have the same fit, I have the same size waist and buy all my shorts and pants for golf there, they are super light and have a classy look. I also wear polo golf shorts, the same line that Webb Simpson wears in his pants, both J Crew and and the Polo fit right at the top of my knee cap and are above my knees when playing which I like.

The Adidas ClimaCool Formotion golf shirts are marketed as 'leaner' fit. If you want to spend a few more dollars, check out the J Lindeberg line.

Is there anyway to tell which Addidas shirts are slim fitting?  I've liked there stuff before but order all my stuff online so I can't try them out before buying.

Also, where can one find Hugo Boss shirts on the Internet?

While they arent golf shirts per se...I found that the mercenized cotton shirts from H&M are quite nice.  Slim Fitting, nice colors, solid only, and allow for freedom of movement.  best part is...$12.95

How do Sligo golf shirts compare to Subseventy's? I just got a Sligo polo and it fits me great. I am slim with an athletic build and would like to try some of Subseventy's new shirts. If someone could help me out, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

This is maybe a different question but which of these suggestions also have shorter sleeves?   I really like the sleeves not to come down more than mid-bicep.  Prefernce I know but I think it frees up the swing.

Thanks for everyone's help...it takes alot of trial and error out of the search!

Yes, the Formation line from Adidas will be the slimmer fitting shirts they make, they haven't put them out yet this year but I would assume we'll see them shortly.

I don't have any experience with most of the companies that are being suggested, but if you're looking for a combination of slim fit and short sleeves I highly recommend Puma.  I only have one Puma shirt and its a world of difference from my Adidas shirts as well as other companies I have shirts from.  The sleeves are way short and it definitely has a slimmer fit.

J Lindeberg offers a slim fit in some shirts and a not-as-slim but "athletic" fit in others.  Also, the sleeves hit mid-bicep or so.  You'll pay for the name though.  I have a good # of JL shirts and they are awesome.

Adidas makes some shirts that are actually branded "Athletic Fit" on the inside if you can find them in retail stores.  The Formotions, as mentioned above, are athletic fit.  The others are branded "Relaxed Fit."

Under Armour has a line of Slim/Athletic fit shirts now, too.

Travis Mathew is more slim, but not tight, in my experience.  Sleeves are a little longer.  Seems like most of their shirts are 60% pima cotton / 40% poly.

Never tried Sub Seventy as they never seem to have my size when I go online.

Have bought JL from gpp.com and they have pretty good prices.  Have looked at trendygolf and fairwaystyles but never purchased from them.

Also, try 6pm.com.  They have JL, Ian Poulter, and other labels for pretty good prices.  Also have descriptions of how things fit.

JL is almost comically slim if you need slim and it sounds like you do with a 31 waist. i wear a medium in puma but for JL, i'd need a L or XL

Just got some subseventy stuff through today too. Love it! Would possibly like the body length on the shirts to be a couple of inches longer so to tuck in a bit better, but certainly the fit and cut is just what I like. Still happy with them!

If anybody is looking for a deal on Dunning, www.golfanything.com just posted a bunch of shirts shorts and pants for cheap, cheap.

Can anybody compare the Dunning fit to Travis Mathew?  That would be helpful for me, thanks,
