Look what came in last week for daddy. Yum. Played once only. Still the honey moon. Early thoughts are LONG and titanium sound. Looks killer and flighted great. I will report back after I have some time with is and the honeymoon is over.

The Exotics CB series fairway woods feature design and performance characteristics inspired by the world's best players. In fact, CB-series fairway woods accumulated over 20 Tour wins and top-10 finishes in 2010. The newest generation - the CB4 - delivers unprecedented power and control capable of taking your game to an entirely new level.

Designed for maximum workability, the CB4 features a slightly smaller 170cc tour preferred head size. The head's classic pear shape produces a higher center of gravity that produces a lower spin rate and a powerful launch. Combining a high-tech 15-3-3-3 titanium cupped face with a heavier hyper steel body, every single gram of excess weight is eliminated from the face area and shifted to the rear skirt and sole for a deeper center of gravity. The deep, higher center of gravity gives the CB4 an explosive, penetrating launch angle.

The CB4's trampoline face design combines multiple levels of face thickness which maximize the spring-effect at launch. By varying the thickness of the face, the trampoline design allows for enhanced elongation of the titanium face. The result is incredible feel and a powerful rebound effect.

Taking tour inspiration and performance one step further, the CB4 utilizes the new Aldila RIP 70 Sigma graphite shaft series. The Aldila RIP is the fastest growing shaft on the PGA Tour. The RIP 70 shaft breaks from conventional ply configurations and weaves inner 45 degree angle graphite plies on the outside and inside of the tip to increase hoop stiffness in the tip for greater shaft stability near the club head. The RIP technology provides for a shaft with lower torque, increased stability, and better tip stiffness control than any shaft made with similar materials employing a conventional ply configuration.

For unrivaled workability and distance, the CB4 delivers tour-caliber results. Experience what the best players in the world already know - Exotics fairway woods are the longest fairway woods in golf, guaranteed. The Exotics CB-4 fairway wood is guaranteed longer than your current fairway wood and has a suggested retail of $299 and comes with an Aldila RIP 70 Sigma shaft and an Exotics New Decade Cord Grip.

Wow that looks awesome.  Hope it's not too much $$.  Would love to try one with a Nunchuk shaft in it.

I hit the CB4 during a driver fitting last week and was definitely impressed with it. Looks sick and more importantly was one of the two best drivers I hit results wise. This 3W would look sharp sitting next to it in the bag!

Ohhhhhh MAMA.... Now THAT is how a 3 wood should look.  I know what's next on my list if I ever get tired of my trusty Titleist.  Absolutely the best looking TEE 3-wood so far!!

Saw the owner this past weekend at our son's hockey game. They use to play together. Asked what 3w I was playing. I was sad to report I had replaced the CB2 with the F11ti. He suggested to look at the CB4. One thing lead to another and I had the CB4 in the bag. Put a UST Attas 9S in the 13.5° head. I was out driving or at least keeping up with my buddies TM TP Superfast 8.5° and 910 D something. Beautiful kick at impact. You look up expecting it to fall out of the air and it just keeeeps on going. Little longer face and a little more forgiving than the CB1 or CB2. Easy as heck to hit off the deck. The feel at impact is typical TE. Weighted prefectly. Cut or draw is optainable. Showed it to my pro and he started foaming. Damnest 3 wood I've hit. Of course I said that about the CB1, CB2, not the CB3 and now this CB4.................., WOW! The other nice feature is they dropped the retail price $100.00. Not to shabby.

Yes the headshape is different, not as deep and the CG location is similar but a little lower as my ball flight is a bit higher off the deck.  This 3 wood pairs great for me with the RIP Sigma,  I would say blueboard/kali, attas, GD tour ad di, ect.... mid to high launch low spin shafts.

I was able to hit these 2 weeks ago at an outdoor demo event and they shocked me how much I liked them.  I tried the 15* 3wd and 16.5* 4wd.  The 4wd had the same ball flight as my 3 wood maybe lower.  The head felt great and feels great and even smells great as well!  :)

How does it compare to the F11?

Comparing the F11ti and the CB$ - 4. Flight is a little higher with the CB$. Both 3w i have are 13.5°. The CB$ has an stealth look and matches up well with my 910. As far as performance I would say the CB$ gives me a little more confidence standing over the ball. Dont really like the color scheme of the F11ti and the slot on the top of the head, its seems I'm always digging dirt/grass out of it. Both clubs have the Attas shaft. It seems the TE is longer, but I'm not sure. I just hooked up with the CB$ and have played the F11ti for 1 month+ now. I certainly like the feel of the CB4 better. I do know I can controll the draw and fade lil better with the CB4. I like the weight of the head better with the CB4. Off the big ball or on a tee it just looks bad a** from address. The shape of the head of the F11ti is on the roundish side. The shape of the head of the CB4 is more what I'm use to looking at, although it is a little longer heel to toe than CB2. But it is so much easier to hit than the CB1 or CB2. David, if your reading this my pro who won the Michigan Senior PGA this past year wants one......................, bad. I can't have him drooling all over my bag! Its embarassing.

I sold my CB2, that had been in my bag for about 2 years, to my brother when I got my CB4 a few weeks ago. I have my CB4 matched up with a Matrix F7m2 and it is by far the best 3wood I have ever hit (I thought that about my CB2 as well). The only thing that I didn't care for about the CB2 was it was hard to elevate off the deck, they have corrected that with the CB4.
When I stand over the ball with this club I have nothing but confidence. I can't say that about very many clubs.

Well they should.  Until they start offering good stock shafts, it's annoying having to pay $300 for a club that is essentially head only, and then having to go aftermarket to put a $200+ shaft in it.

Agree with all the other positive comments. I got the 15* 3 wood and the 9* driver. Awesome clubs. FYI, for the poster who inquired, TEE states tip diameter is .350, not .335.

I still prefer the look of the first two gens, but it looks long as ever.  I wish they'd just get it over with and release these things in driver lofts.  I'd probably actually buy one.

I bought the CB4 last week on the chance I would like it.  I was playing an old Mizuno MP-001 13.5, but did not have much confidence off the deck with that club.  I have been trying to find something good off the deck but that does not balloon off the tee.  I'm still in the honeymoon period but the first weekend of play was nice.  I only hit it once off the deck, but it was solid.  In my new 3W search I wanted something with a little bigger head and this fit the bill.  I went with the RIP and thought it felt a little soft, but on the course it preformed great.

I've just got my cb4 installed with Motore Speeder 8.2 x-stiff and initial results from the range are mind-blowing.
