How many movies can you quote more than half the script and most people (well guys at least) will know exactly what you are talking about?

Top 5 all time comedies along with Animal House (I am at work so I don't have time to figure out the other 3 but AH is number 1 IMO).

I say it IS a golf movie.  At the risk of getting too analytic, its a satire of the country club life and that includes golf.  I mean if you think about it, most golf is played by middle aged hacks on both private and public courses who act like one or more of the characters in the movie, so it is more about the real game of golf than the other movies that only focus on the best golfers in the world (ie Tin Cup, Greatest Game, etc).

The Caddy with Martin and Lewis. Very underrated golf movie since Hogan and I believe Snead make appearances.

Love love love caddyshack!

All of the Mel Brooks movies are favorites - but Caddyshack still rates higher IMO.

Can't vote as I have never watched this movie from start to finish. Only tidbits while flipping channels.

Think I'll go buy a copy.

I have a theory that this is the most quoted movie of all time.... think about it... how many times have you played golf where someone has used a classic line from the movie... prolly about 75% of the time... think about that... even if 50% of all golf rounds played included a quote that would be insane!... no real way to figure it out tho

It's a good theory.  I can say that when I play with friends, it gets quoted upwards of 20 times.  Hell, I was playing by myself last week and was saying, na na na na na da da da da da when I was practicing on the putting green!

One of my professional goals as an attorney is to play golf with a judge, solely for the fact that I'll get to say, "Your honor, your honor."

I think every golfer has said "right in the lumber yard" when a ball goes into a pond.

"How about a Fresca?"

How many people here are even old enough to know what a Fresca is?   Is it still even made?

Was mine too and I fulfilled it last year during a scramble fundraiser for a judge I knew who was running for re-election.  Got a laugh from the group :)

actually, yes it is, but hard to find... even have a couple different flavored Frescas now too

favorite has to be "nun-nun-nun-nun-nun" on the putting green as the putt goes in

then comes "Ooh, he's gotta be pleased with dat one"

PS also wish you could get Dead Solid Perfect on DVD. has been years since I've seen it

OK, I'm a little late chiming in here. BUT, Caddyshack is the best golf movie of all time. HOWEVER, yall need to read Missing Links by Rick Reilly. It's as funny if not funnier than CS. A movie is being made on this book and is supposed to star Steve Carrel. Pick up a copy and make your own opinion.

Just bought this on Blu-Ray mainly to get the biography show, it's a good watch if you are a CS fan for sure.

While Caddyshack is a great movie and one of my favorites.  The best golf movie of all time is Dead Solid Perfect.

DSP also a great movie, never put on on DVD so you never see it anymore.  If I can find a VHS I might buy it just to dub it...

Murray, Dangerfield, and the hot chick (never did anything else I remember, but she KILLED that role. Sexy girl) give any other golf movie a stroke a hole. Throw in gophers and Chevy and its not a contest, lol.

Cindy Morgan - she did a bunch of guest spots on your typical 80's shows, like Love Boat, Matlock, Hunter, etc...  BUT, she was the main female character in the original Tron, and will be in the upcoming sequel to the 2nd Tron as well... Tron Legacy I think.
