Yes, Nicolas isn't much of an equipment changer anyway. The Razor Hawk driver only replaced his Ping Rapture / Aldila Protopype last year. He did have a RBZ 3 wood in the bag for a while earlier in the season, which he mentioned was 15-20 yards longer than the Titleist 910, but he switched back presumably for more control.

Now he's becoming a household name, it will be interesting to see if one of the equipment manufacturers try's to sign him up for a full contract.

Callaway should jump at this chance, it could add to their longbomber stable even further (JB Holmes, Quiros)

I agree. With his prodigious length and obvious ballstriking ability, Nicolas would be a good addition to any manufacturer's stable. The problem with switching to 100% Callaway is Nicolas is a longstanding player of Titleist balls and I don't think he would want to switch.

Funny thing that the longest hitters in the European tour are playing the same driver: Razr Hawk 9.5º, Quiros a longtime Callaway staffer and Coults.

I love watching Nicolas play and I'm really glad he made the Ryder cup team. He's improved exponentially, in all areas, over the past few years.

Wondering if they have anything that can kick his X proto's and taylormade Vokeys out of the bag. (taylormade not as in the brand name but actually made by vokey for him)

I agree, but if a manufacturer comes along and offers you, say, $1M per year for 5 years, plus bonuses, it must be difficult to turn down whoever you are.

Nicolas' current bag deal is with Anahita Mauritius and, I assume, is probably tied to property rather than cash. Callaway seem to have some kind of club deal with him but I doubt it amounts to much since he started using Callaway's after the groove change, when he was struggling on the Challenge tour. His stock has definitely risen since then.

The best option would be to sign a full deal with Callaway and then he could play more or less what he does now, however, the ball change which Callaway would demand is a problem.

It's a Fujikura Motore Speeder .1 series. I believe it's a 8.1, but not sure about the weight

Looks like he got this setup sorted after seeing some of his driving yesterday!

HIt one huge drive with the new combo I saw on the highlights last night. He had 91 yards left on a par 5!!
