Drive measured at 419 yd ! (383m)

Comments from Ernie Els :
"They should put a plaque down. I was coming from a different zip code and I've got to compete against these animals," joked Els after the first round in Durban.
Colsaerts led the driving distances on the European and PGA tours in 2012 with a staggering average of 318.6 yards, ranking over three yards ahead of Masters champion Bubba Watson.

"I've been coming here since 1986 I think and I've never seen a ball there - nobody has," said Els of the European Ryder Cup player's booming 419-yard drive at the downwind par-five third

Thanks for the correction. Must have heard it wrong on tv or the commentators were incorrect

Was so funny; the camera man lost the ball completely. He had it on the spot where 'normal people' hit it and then had to swing hard to the left to finally catch up with the ball just as it was stopping.

Even the commentators were laughing at the camera man.

General consensus is that drivers maxed out their COR a few years ago so any of the last few years will be equally as 'hot'.

Still like to know what lenght he plays his driver at? Is he a 45' or less guy or is some of the distance due to a 46' plus shaft!!
