Eagle, if single's play has got you down, I know someone who needs a new wingman.
Fun note: lived out the Goose nickname again on Saturday. In the 4th straight wedding, my buddies and I have serenaded the bride to "you've lost that loving feeling.". The lead was yours truly.
i've got at least 1 more round in me before i throw my hands up and storm off in a pigpen-esque cloud of self-loathing. glen dale on june 8th. it's a better ball, so i think i can play in both tourney's simultaneously, as i will be playing my own ball the whole way round. i just can't take a max score (unlike the team event which caps out at par +2). once i confirm that i can double dip, i could use a partner for sure!

Damn, sorry to hear that. That course can be brutal if the weather conditions and set up dictate. I hope the greens were at least rolling nicely. It's usually very well maintained.
1757 was in VERY nice shape. DCGT-wise, we had 40 players in the two-person team event, and i heard good things from the players. greens were in excellent condition, and rolled true. in spite of the rain, everything still played pretty firm and fast. as you know, length is NOT an issue there... it's all about the approach shot and leaving yourself a makeable putt (uphill preferred). i had so many mental sharts throughout the round it's a wonder i didn't have to change hats at the end of it. :P
i'm going to go with the attitude of 'i don't care where it goes' from now on (as best i can). the white-knuckle approach is obviously not working. pick a target, pick a shot, pick a club... and just let it go.
