Pretty cool story. My mom is marshaling at the PGA at Baltusrol this year, and is incharge of the first hole. Today one of the caddies walked up onto the first tee and started talking to her. The guy told her that he was leaving to find a place to stay, and thankfully my mother offered him a room at our house for the week and he accepted. It turns out this is the caddy for Chris Riley. Aside from being a great guy, he is taking me out tomorrow to walk alongside him and Chris for the whole round, completely inside the ropes :yahoo: ! I think my ultimate dreams have come true. Hopefully I can get up to the tour vans as well and take a look around. This tournament is going to be the best ever.

Take everything in, it's an awesome experience!! Pay close attention to the banter between some of the players and also between player and caddie, it can be hilarious.
Let us know how it goes.

That's GREAT! :drinks: Congrats to you on that schweet deal.

I attempt to volunteer every year at the Byron Nelson and Colonial tournaments, but I never hear any response back. I figure they never need volunteers, I guess.

Well, today turned out to be everything I hoped for and more. After having Tiger walk two feet in front of me first thing this morning, I got a chance to meet Chris for the first time. He is truly one of the nicest people I have ever met. It turns out he had decided to play with Rod Pampling who was also a great guy and fantastic player. These guys can just flat out play, and it doesn't get better then standing right next to them as they pick out clubs and try and decide how to play every shot. After making the turn, things got even better. Chad Campbell joined us for the back nine. He was also a terrific guy and can absolutely bomb the ball. With the Tiger show just a hole or two infront of us, there were very few people following the group all day. By the time we reached 17 though, Tiger had finished and the crowds were starting to build. I was walking the fairways and was completely nervous, I can't imagine playing during that. After finishing up for the day, I got a sweet look inside the Ping tour van. Got an awesome look at the G5 driver and fairway woods, as well as the hybrid which looks very promising. Just a quick note on what was in these guys bags: Pampling had raw cg1 and cg10 wedges, r7 driver, and a Ldi 2 iron (never got a look at the fairways) Reilly had a brand new set of Ping eye 2's, big bertha steelhead 3 and 5 woods, Mb tour 60*, and the G5 drvier (Chris told me there is absolutely no difference between it and the G2). Finally Chad Campbell had some unbelievable raw Nike pro combos, 13* and 15* t-60 fairways, raw sv wegdes, and a launcher 400 driver. Truly one of the best days of my life and I am completely grateful for these guys letting me go out with them. There is a slight chance I will be able to do it again tomorrow. I was dying to bring my camera and get some great shots of these guys, but it just wouldn't have been appropriate under the circumstances.

You wouldn't believe some of the things these guys were saying. Some of the funniest things I have ever heard. Its was pretty cool to see these guys relaxing and enjoying themselves on the golf course. Some of the inside info on other guys in the field  was also pretty entertaining.

that sounds great. Really. An experience you will never forget. How was the tempo and the perceived swing speeds? At the ryder cup last year it seemed as if they were swinging at 70% and the ball shoots off the face.

Also the G5 and the G2 the same huh?
And the RAW nike pro combos in Cambells bag?

Great day!
