So I've been browsing around the putter section for a while now and noticed that there are so many posts about Scottys, Pirettis, etc. Well...there seems to be almost not threads about the Odyssey #8, which is similar to the napa/8802 style head. Why is there no love for it? Is it really that bad/unwanted?

It's a new putter, not too many people have played with one yet. I have one, a 35" 330g version. I really like it!

I tried one last week in a golf shop and liked it a lot. Once they appear on the BST for half the price I will have one!

This is how I base all of my buying decisions.  When a new club is released, I add a few months to that knowing they show up on the BST and pick it up there.  Posted Image

since it's announcement there have been a lot more threads/posts on the black series (and it's brother the pt82) than on napas/8802s.  also check the pre-release board

They don't carry the #8 at my local Golf Galaxy store so there won't be a chance to test it out. I have only seen 1 BST ad for the putter since its release but don't know what happened to it. Otherwise, this putter seems to be on low key.

They are just starting to show up on ebay in the left handed version.  I was hitting the buy it now within the first hour pretty much.  Being left handed and Canadian is hard, no one can ship odyssey stuff over the border!

Yup it starts looking for a new putter and a year later you will be buying your 4th backup set of irons just because you have empty bags in your office and will find it crazy that you once had only one putter as you now have enough to play a different one on every hole.  And we didn't even mention drivers yet.....

BST ruined a consistent bag for me. I ban myself from visiting unless I need something.
