I have two bags that I still carry: a Ping Hoofer 2 that I bought new back in 01/02 and a Ping Mantis, from around the same period as my Hoofer 2, for range/light days.  There's no reason for me to change.

I love golf

The problem with mine is, I always go black.  It's not that the bag is worn, is the sun fading that has me switching them out every three years.  Otherwise, I bet I could go 5.  I think guys that always ride, can get more out of them then walkers that carry their bag.

Bought my current Bridgestone cart bag in May 2009, still good with it.  I bought it at the pro shop at my local course pro shop.  It has 14 individual slots that go to the bottom of the bag for each club.  Zippers are still good; hope to keep another year or two.  I generally play 7-8 times per month (always riding in the cart) plus range time.

I have two Pings right now - both Hoofer C1's.  One is red/white and black and the other is Forest Green.  Had to buy a 2nd for my back up set after winning jillions in gift certs at my club over the summer

I will only get PINGs

Before picking up this backup I had not bought a new PING in over 8 yrs.  Any wear and tear, zipper malfunction, divider fail and they send a new one with no questions asked ... how can you argue with that ?

I also have the first TM Masters bag that came out WAY back ->  looks good in my man cave with my university team bag (Jones by the way - used to be indestructible)

Typically I don't buy a new bag unless one breaks or I "ho" and get new equipment which requires a new bag.   Some bags I've owned have lasted 5+ years while others broke down in less than 1 year.  So it all depends...but the majority of my bags now are Ogio.

I have an old hand-me-down Alien cart bag that I am only replacing because I wanted to walk this year. Otherwise I love that bag. It looks old and cheap (because it is!), and no one ever takes a second look at it - very useful when I am paying for my round at a dodgy municpal course!

I have only been playing for 6 months, but have ironically gone threw three bags. My first bag was given to me with the clubs i was given when i got my clubs, It was a tailor-made sunday bag. I mostly walk, and since it only had one strap, and no stand i managed to get a used Orbiter stand bag, Sadly the bad was so used it broke after a month, so then i went and bought a nice perfect for me bag, Nike extrem sport iii.

When the straps or stand are beyond repair.  Even then, I'll make some spirited efforts with a needle, thread, epoxy, duct tape, and a file to get as many rounds out of a bag as possible.  I would estimate that at least 90% of my rounds are walking, so I'm pretty tough on bags.  It probably doesn't help that my bags spend more time than they should in the woods amongst *****ly branches and thorns.  I'm on my third in 8 years.

When I carried, and I carry on my left shoulder, I would invariably wear out the pocket on the right side of the bag, almost every year.  I could only find a couple of "left handed" carry models which has the padding on that side of the bag, and those didn't suit me.

But since I started to push 3 years ago, my bag is lasting forever.

I am always on the lookout for the perfect walking stand/cart bag.  I usually purchase a new bag at the start of the season and find faults with it by the middle to the end of the summer.  the bag eventually ends up being sold.

I voted salvation army lol

Honestly tho, now days the build quality is outstanding on most* bags.

It really depends on how much you play and how well you take care of your stuff.

I have an 09 Ogio Grom that is still goin strong and looks great!

Love it. Can't afford one though   :black eye:

The Callaway 4.0 is already falling apart - finally got the straps perfect too... sick and tired of stand bags with failed legs. I just purchased a Ping Moon-Lite II Sunday bag. Very pleased with it.

However, I would like to see Ping release an updated L8+ with a couple dividers. It was their best in my opinion.

I've not bought a bag. The two bags I've had were hand-me-downs. The current one is my brothers that he gave me about 3 years ago. Outer most bag broke off. Pretty crappy bag I must say. But next month I plan on dropping about 2k on new clubs, bags, balls, gloves, etc. I am pretty excited.

i'm on my 3rd bag in 8 years.  everytime i've replaced a bag it's because it was broken or was rendered unusable.  my last bag's stand legs broke so i just recently got a new bag.  got to admit though, it feels good to have a nice new bag.  :)

Sadly, I am in the market for a new bag this year.  I've had my current one for at least ten years now.  I paid $60 for it new and it seems that I'll be paying more than twice that to replace it with something comparible in quality and features.

Im still playing with my ping hoofer 2 back from when i played in high school as a freshman.  I'm 25 now and its time for a new bag since the legs on the ping get stuck a lot now.  I plan on getting a nice ogio and running it until failure.

Just about to replace a 11 year old callaway staff bag and my last carry bag lasted 12 months before I sold it on evilbay. I am getting a callaway razr tour bag and a sun mountain four 5 stand bag in black. This should keep me in bag town for another 11 years.

You really don't have my choice. But I voted every 2 years. In actuality when I see one I really like, and can sell on of my current one's then I'll buy the new one. I usually have 3 in inventory. One carry bag and 2 cart bags.
I'm in that situation right now. Trying to sell a Diablo Org 14 Extreme so I can buy the new white Mizuno cart bag.

I've had the same bag since high school, so about 8-9 years. It's a little sun faded, but still works fine. I probably should get a new bag, but I'll get around to it one day.

Typically use them until something breaks and it becomes unusable.

Last ones:
Sun Mountain 3.5 (fiberglass support spine for the legs snapped)
Nike (strap ripped off where attached to the bag)
Nike (stand broke)
Ogio (stand broke)
Sun Mountain (fabric ripped through)
Sun Mountain (stand broke)
Mizuno (just wore out)
