funny that you post this.  i have been using the ahina that came with, "made for Titleist" x stiff 72 gram.  i had a d3 with a whiteboard x stiff on my 909.  the new ahina does feel softer than the whiteboard and a little looser than i like.  i'm replacing my ahina with my old whiteboard on my 910 this weekend.

20*???? A shaft change is not going to fix that. You should try an 8.5*, and then change the setting to be low flight.

PS: Proper grammar and capitalization of words would make this post a whole easier to read.

i play the 910 D2 with the made for ilima.  The combination works very well for me, and based on your swing speed and carry, you may want to try hitting the combo first before discarding it as 'shite.'  i enjoy the ilima's feel and have found dispersion with it to be very good.  Your specs sound about right for a shaft like the ilima, even a 'made for' ilima.

Im am using this combo, but from what i hear and my own experience the made for shafts are not very good.I was just intrested in what opinions everyone had.I also know it probably a swing fault.Just looking for a quick fix, thought a new shaft might help!

Just FYI, a new shaft will not fix a launch angle of 20*. The shaft you have isn't the issue with that launch. A new shaft can help bring it down but not to 10-12*. There are other issues going on with your swing that would need to be address first. You must have a major positive upward attack angle...

You need to find another simulator and check your launch conditions.  I remember reading something a while back that the perfect launch and spin are 21* and 1500 rps, but that this wasn't physically possible given the physics of a golf swing.  Check your launch again.  I went to a simulator once and was getting 14*-16* launch angle, then moved simulator to where they do fittings and with the same club got 11*-12* launch angle.

I know it's different but I've got the made for ahina in my d2 and really like it. Good dispersion and distance. Can't say it feels loose for me but different strokes for different folks!

Totally Agree!!!! If your swing speed is in the low 90's, you carry the ball 235 and hit 6-iron 160, do yourself a favor and go get fit. While the "made for" shafts may have a higher torque and launch higher than the after market shaft, its not "shite". Go get fit!!! Don't just jump into the 8.5, because i will bet anything your spin rate will shoot through the roof, and you will never see anything but the right side of the golf course! Unless you like the high cut...

The made-for shafts are only "shite" if you have the swing speed to overpower it, and it doesn't seem like you do.  I have a similar swing speed and think the made-for shafts are actually great.
