I own both of the PT82 putters (XG/White ice) and absolutely love them both.  The feel is like butter and the look is amazing.  If your on the fence get one now before they are gone.

They are both limited edition.  One was released last summer in honor of PM's win at the masters and the other one was just released a couple if months ago.  They are both cherry!

I am getting the new one just released.  What insert is in this.  I love the fact the headweight is only 325 grams.

It will depend on whether you like the White Ice insert, which it sounds like you do. I didn't like it the feel and balance and sold mine. The insert was firmer than the White Hot XG insert, but still less clicky as something like stainless, which I understand is the point of it, but to me, it was neither here nor there and I didn't care for it. I also wasn't really a fan of the weight and finish - the first version with the WHXG insert, which was limited to 82 righty and 82 lefty, is more of a dark, brushed satin finish. The second version with the White Ice insert, of which 2500 were made, is more of a dark powder coated finish. I have rolled the version with the WHXG insert and that is light years better, in my opinion at least. I will probably look into the new Black Tour Designs #8 as a replacement.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but the White Hot XG insert is softer than the White Ice, which is supposed to provide a soft feel while at the same time more feedback than the WHXG. Some say the WHXG is too mushy feeling.

You are exactly right!  The XG feels like a hot knife through warm butter. The white ice is a little more firm
feeling.

This weekend, I bought one of the newer ones with the White Ice insert.  My club had one, and I initially just picked it up and hit a practice putt with it just to kill some time.  The feel and overall setup were so perfect for me, I couldn't get it out of my head.  It drove me crazy for a week or so, until I finally had to go back and get it. :)  I've hit some of the other White Ice models, and I liked them a lot too-- I may just be a big fan of the feel of this particular insert.  Overall, I think the PT82 is a really great combination of looks and feel.

Great buy!  I actually sold my initial white ice PT82 and it drove me so crazy that I needed to buy another one and I did!  It's a great looking/feeling putter for sure!

There is no way, unless you do not play with it.

Saran wrap it whenever you play.

Fantastic putter (I have the White Ice one) that is now my gamer. I can barely miss with this thing. I find that it plays particularly well for me when I have an open stance with forward press.

Never heard of saran wrapping a grip but I will try it.

Mine had its first test run today and wow. Its a gamer and the white ice 2 will have some back up bag time for its sins. I just don't want to get this thing dirty. I wonder if odyssey will have new grips for these that we could buy.

Top class putter it has the white ice sitting in the corner next to an 550 and they don't look like getting out of the corner any time soon.

It is a great putter. I made the following adjustment's to mine.

1. Played one round with it, and the white grip had grime on it, pulled it and put on a midsize Lamkin cord Paddle grip. The new grip weighs 80 grams.

2. Sized it up with one of my 34 inch Scotty Camerons, and cut it a 1/4" longer.

3. Put two full pieces of the Hi Denisity Lead tape on the bottom of it.

4. Stuck the head cover and the white grip in a large ziplock, to not dry out, and put them in the closet.

5. Proceeded to make many putts with it.

I like the white line on it, I have honestly considered having my Scotty Cameron Napa sent off and have the same white line cut in it. But I won't.

I still own an Ben Crenshaw improved 8802, by Walter Hagen with a leather grip and the soft fluted shaft, that feels better than any Napa, Yes, or this PT 82. Bought new over 25 years ago.

Thad good to hear!  I think a lotof putter that were on the fence will kick themselves when they do not buy this putter.  Since it is a LE putter it will slowly go away and the only way you will be able to get one is on the bay.  These will bring nice prices down the line.  The offers I get for my PT82 XG model are staggering but I cannot find myself to sell it...

What length shaft is everyone getting with this putter, I am leaning towards 34 or 35.  I tend to push 35 inch white ice #1, is this the putter head, or length issue?

Both of mine are 35 inches which is perfect for me.
