FIRST OF ALL,

PLEASE LEAVE FEEDBACK ON THIS PRODUCT.  Initial impressions, etc....Alright everyone...  I figured since I live here, get to test products, and go to the PGA Show its about time I share my vote for product of the year.

I spent all day at Demo Day and only found one product that I felt worthy of a review.

THE FIRST FOOT.

The First Foot created by Mark J. Caldwell PGA, and Tom Covino, and was the most effective tool I tested today. To me this was so simple, and so effective that after 20 or so putts on the green I was dropping putts like it was my job.  The product works for rightys or lefties (just flip it over for lefties), you simply follow the white line with the putter, use the white marks to check alignment of the putterface, and complete your stroke.  You recieve immediate feedback, and immediate results.

I spent about 40 min with this at my course after the demo day, and I must say its amazing.  I really like the durability and simplistic nature of the pruduct.  Its made of kevlar so it can be bent any which way, and be put in a bag, and taken with you to the course, or you can just slide it in your bag like a putter.

I think Mark put it best, "if its not in your bag your not going to use it"

I sincerely recommend that everyone interested in creating a consistent and solid putting stroke check this product out.  This will be one of the hot sellers this year at the PGA show and in 2011, no doubt in my mind.

I did include a short interview with one of the co-creators and vice president of The First Foot,   Mark J. Caldwell PGA.

Q#1:  Mark, how did you two develop this product?

A#1 "With our junior golfers, it started as a similar device made of wood for our junior golfers in Texas, and over a couple of years it has evolved into the product we have today. We probably have some of the best putting juniors anywhere."

Q#2 Mark, what kind of results and benifits can we the average consumer expect to see from this product?

A#2 " It will build rhythm, regulate the length of your stoke, remind you to relax your hands, help you visualize your intended line, and give instant feedback and results."

Q#3  Who on tour is using this pruduct?

A#3  "Cameron Beckman, and about a dozen others had these in thier lockers/bags during the Bob Hope Classic."

Q#4  What are your goals for 2011?

A#4  "To release our junior version in the next 120 days, have  sucessful year on the PGA Tour, and see this product in more amateurs and average golfers bags in the years to come."

Q#5 Where can we get them, and how much?

A#5 "On firstfoot.net for $59.99 and it should also be in big box retailers by the end of 2011"

I will let the website answer the rest of your questions guys.  www.firstfoot.net

Here are some pics from thier website.  Oh, also one of the websites open on the owners laptop was....... www.golfwrx.com

Hope you guys like the review.

Tom Covino has been my swing coach since I was 13 and I've used this product since the very first prototype. I can't say enough about how much this product helped my putting. It has really come a long way from the first stages but the concept has remained the same, a simple yet effective way to improve the putting stroke. I'm currently in college and continue to use this product to help fine tune my stoke. I'm glad that you enjoy this product as much as I do.

I think I would put one in MY bag. I sometimes do something similar with tees in the practice green but this is much better.

Looks like it would be pretty simple to build this on your own at home. I for one think 59.95 for a modified yard stick is outrageous but thats me

To be honest, definitely not that innovative. I've been doing the same thing for a couple years now with a metal yard stick. the only difference looks like you can put tees down to hold it in place.

if it were $19.99 I would be on the website ordering one now. Since it is $59.99 I am not even going to go look.

I think it is cool but I think it is pricey for what it is especially since I could build a similar one at home easily. granted it wont be kevlar but it would do the job

T

T hit it on the head.

At $19.99, or heck, even $24.99, I'd buy one.  $59.99 is a bit absurd if you ask me.

People were saying $99.99 for the Swinkey was too high, but this thing makes the Swinkey look like a steal!

It's like buying a pet rock.  Price point of $25 and they would sell.

Agree with other comments, looks great and believe it would work, but the price point of $59 is outrageous and wouldn't even give it a second look.

$20-$25 range, and I would consider this training aid.

Wrong price point in the wrong economy.

If you have an ikea near you the offer free tape measures, more or less about 3' x 1/2 " piece of paper. It would roll up smaller than a golf ball. Cheap way to duplicate this. Lines, paths and tees not included but you can all figure that out.

Soonermagic,

C'mon. ONE product worthy of a review? While the other grips companies had a modest number of people trying, we had 8 to 10 hitting bays occupied for most of the day and well after everyone had gone home. The feedback we had was phenomenal, and these were not run-of-the-mill golfers. They were mostly Pro's. They were having a blast!

Creative. And then you can go grab a few of the 50 cent hot dogs they have! Posted Image

Metal yardstick + Sharpie + 2 tees.

Looks like a decent tool, but nothing revolutionary. No way I'd pay $60 for that. $30 tops.
