Those irons are sweet, look similar to the Pro CB/MB but the satin finish looks better than the chrome.  The only decision to make is where I'll go from the CB to the MB in the set.

Offset numbers anyone?

hit pitbull's 7 iron yesterday on a par 3 hole, put it 3 feet closer than my own iron on the first swing

really really liked them.  They feel just as soft as my X-Prototypes, maybe even softer

kind of reminded me of my fourteen TC1000's that I used to have

Pitbull- thanks man these are sweet looking...the one question I have is what the offset is and the head size please?  I'm about ready to pull the trigger on some MP-63's(I think until I saw these!) but I really like the compact heads- such as the X-prototypes, J33 CB's, Mp-63's etc... I love the look of the MB's...how do the CB and MB's compare to each other- forgiviness, solidness VS accuracy?

Good heavens.  Those are just silly good looking.  Not sure why, but I never really think "Cobra" when it comes to great looking irons despite the last few sets they've put out, but that's on me.  I look forward to your review, Reid.  Enjoy them. :good:

WOW is me!!! I have a set on order to match my current set (3-5 cb 6-pw mb). satin finish is a brushed look BEAUUTIFUL. forging is 1025 prior was 1020. loft specs are the same as old cb-mb's lies are a little more upright especially in long irons. lofts are 1* stronger than most blades due to the design of a lower muscle area, and the cavity cut which helps feel.
I have played COBRA for 3 yrs the trajectory even at 46* is a good mid flight. I have blk kbs x soft stepped in my set installed for a year and my ball flight is now slightly higher with less spin. The straight hosel with low offset and rounded heel are great for all kinds of lies. when is spring YUK YUK YUK

LOL..I was surprised it took you 17 holes to finally ask to try them. I guess my oooh's and ahhh's were too much to take. :pardon:

Josh, I wish I didn't already dump my J38's..I could have took comparison photo's.  They are smaller heel/toe then the J38's. Sole trails up towards the rear and although may appear similar is smaller as well. As for forgiveness...I'll get to all that soon in my review to which I'll add to this post along with more photos.

Great review, these look superb.  I wonder if Puma had any say in the tweaking of the old clubs.

really nice looking irons,  is ogilvy playing these?  He was on the verge of being a superstar, I think last year was a breather for him, and he'll be a force in the majors again this year.  I saw him at the pga at medinah in chicago a few years ago paired with phil and tiger,  and he looked like he belonged there.

Ogivly is with Titleist, I believe he plays 710 CBs but not positive

These top lines look fairly thick for MB irons.  NOT a bad thing IMO.  Is it just the pics or is it a tad thinker than say the VR Blade from last year.

Did you hit the gap wedge - I called around today, I'm able to place the order but they won't ship until mid Feb.  I've never considered cobras and never actually wanted to order clubs by just looking at pics but these are sold.

How is the 3 iron forgivness wise compared to say the AP2 or Nike Split Cavity or Mizzy 58 ?

I have never thought about Cobra irons;until I saw these. They're very beautiful irons.I was going to get a set of MP63's,but the Cobra's look so much better.

Any chance you can post pics with this next to any other iron? Just want to compare the size.

Thanks for the great review and pictures. These may be one of the surprises of 2011. I am adamant that nothing is kicking the X-Protos out of the bag, but these sure make a tempting case. IMO, they don't look significantly thicker than the X-Protos topline wise, not that it bothers me. The finish and head shape from address look excellent.

Is it just the photo or does that top line look a little chunky.  Definitely thicker than the original Pro CB.  Good looking club anyway, just something that popped out to me.

It's the photo angle because they are not chunky...like tv makes people look fat. :pardon:  I'll have more pics later when there's better sun.  Unfortunately we still were a bit overcast yesterday.  You might have noticed it during the Sony Open. ;)

I guess its really subjective because I put these side by side with some Nike VR Pro Blades and the topline on these Cobra's are much thicker.
I didn't like the look at address JMO.

Check the pics in this thread and it does not look as bad .
