How do scratch irons compare in real life to muzzy or miura?

I think the Scratch irons felt fine, I just had the wrong shafts in them.
New putter.

Yeah Titleist make some really good fairway woods. Bridgestone are nice without being super pricey or gaudy, and more importantly I hit them well. Though going the SL shafts has probably made the biggest difference.

I don't know if my swing is evolving or it's the shape of the sole, but I'm taking more shallow divots. I wonder if there's more bounce on the irons than the J38's or the slightly unusual sole grind has anything to do with it.

Bridgestone J33 Combo's 3-PW (or less the three if I carry the 64)
Kombi Mid.
Callaway Jaws wedges, 52, 58, 64.
Titleist 909F 13 Deg with Blueboard in stiff
Titleist 906F 18 Deg with cheap speeder

Does the trick. Sometimes

I have the same Mizuno Bag ... it was not sold here in the U.S. I ordered from a golf store in London.

Well all this furore over anchoring has left me in an odd position. After using a belly putter for three years to get me over the yips and now there's a rule change. Haven't really decided how I'll approach this yet. After clocking up 18 rounds in just over a month I've developed some serious pain in my right elbow, in the midst of my club champs. XRAY suggests it's wearing out! So 31 years old and the doc suggests I find something else to do! So resting up for a month to see if the swelling will go down and then get a second opinion.
In the meantime, picked up a short putter, I've only owned my GoLo for a few months and now it's bloody redundant! PING still make all their original putters which is pretty good, feels very light and that top line is super thin. Rolls nicely.
Elbow looks normal enough to me!

Mudguard, I have a B60 and love it. I used to use a mallet style putter, but the balance on the B60 is sweet. I think you'll like it... Even if you were on the darkside with your belly putter haha

Well the Kombi has had a little surgery. From 44" to about 37" to experiment with the Kuchar method. Still no play, can't straighten my elbow so will wait until the 29th.

Two weeks off before going back to work. And I've played six rounds, 5 in a row. Elbow feels pretty good. Interestingly I used the B60 for a couple of rounds, right hand low claw. Putted ok, especially long putts.
Then I used the Longneck, purely out of curiousity. And putted quite well, then interestingly played with it again yesterday, and on the 5th of hole I gripped the putter completely normally for the first time in 4 years by accident. 21 putts for the front nine (3 three putts from very long range early on) then 12 on the back including 3 birdie putts over 15 feet.

So there is hope for me yet!

Covert Tour Driver. Had to test it when it was blowing it's nuts off. Didn't hit a single one straight. Nevermind!

Well after using the Long Neck with reasonable success I decided to bust out another old one. The ol Sante Fe. I'd forgotten how good flow necks look at address. Putted quite well. 29 putts, 75 with a double on the last ugh.
And picked up another putter to try now that I'm on the short short stick crusade.

Well finally went and saw a hand and arm surgeon after about 5 months of having a sore elbow, it's painful on mishits, aches in the morning. And I can't straighten my arm.

So the result of the scan thing is a rather big piece of bone (arrowed) that has broken off. Not to mention osteophates forming as well.

So he's going to take out that bit of bone, and grind down the rest. So I'm just waiting to see when they can do it. I would like to wait for winter (we still play, just very wet) to take the time off. We've basically had a drought so no rain for about 3 months, so glorious for golf.

So at 31 my years of throwing cricket balls, and hitting balls has finally caught up with me. But with a bit of tidy up, should keep me going for a long time yet!
