I just love this putter. I still really like my Kombi and Futura. I think the Futura would have been so much more popular if it was steel...

Ok, new driver time. Well it's quite straight forward, obviously the 913 is coming out, so I had to sell my 910 while I could get a good price for it, which I did, which was nice!
Unfortuntately I didn't realise the 913 is so far away, November I think, so I will buy something in the meantime to use. I can rull out the R11s. I guess people get used to drivers, but Taylormade heads always seem sooo hard. And the ball just went right.
Used the Anser today, it was a little closer to my 910, softer than the R11, but I think not enough loft. My brother dead set bombs this club though. Which is a shame as he's ordered a Razr fit!
So as usual, I've ordered a Razr Fit Tour also, having never hit one, in 9.5 with a Whiteboard in S and 63 grammes, so that should be here this week. Been awhile since I've used a Callaway, had an FTiQ and FT Tour a few years back.

Ok. So the Scratch irons are gone, they were pretty hard to hit, and co-incided (or caused) some of my poorer golf in a little while.

Oh and the Ogio Edge bag. I've had a lot of carry bags over the years and there's always some little niggles that I've had with most bags. This is the by far and away the best I've owned.

Sorry to hear that about the Scratch irons.  Do you think the AR or EZ irons might have been better?

I like your Ogio bag (except for the Orange color ;-)).  I AMA big fan of Ogio bags... have two of 'em myself....

I don't think there was anything wrong with the irons, I wasn't playing well and I think I had the wrong shafts. As for the bag, well I enjoyed it until the strap broke. Seems to be a bit of design flaw. I got fed up waiting for a replacement strap so I bought a Titleist carry bag.
Used the R11 again on Sunday. Jacked it up to whatever the maximum loft is and hit it much better.

Ok driver turned up. I shall call him Kermit... Looks nice, very very black after the R11s, even darker than the 910D3.
So hopefully does the trick. Will find out this Saturday!

ole kermit is certainly no miss piggy.

Those old tour editions are lovely irons, always lusted after those as a kid. I'd imagine they are quite lofted in comparison to today's irons?

good stuff.

I guess so, they were about two degrees weaker than a set of CB Titleists I compared them with, so maybe 4 degrees or a whole club than current models?
I was surprised how well that one I reshafted went, even though KBS is too strong for me I still hit some lovely shots with it.

In fact, the specs are
61 lie, loft is 33 degrees, compared to my J38's which are
62.5 and 31 degrees. So the Tour Editions are a bit weaker. Or compared to Cleveland CG16 Black Pearls...
62.25 and 27 degrees. So there is six degrees between them!

No plans to change irons, though I went through the Mizuno fitting last week, I like their new MP H4 model but smashed the cover off some balls using the MP68!
This game is weird. Result of the fitting was MP64 with DG SL S300. I'm smooth swinger apparently. 83mph with the six iron.

I think the iron changing phase is finished. Driver made it's debut at Kauri Cliffs, 12 from 14 fairways and got round 3 over, so was more than chuffed.

It's not every day you pop into town and have an inch taken off your shaft....

Absolutely sprayed it today, all right. So these drivers are 45.5 inches stock, and D8 in weight. Didn't help that I had the weight bias around the wrong way too! The little schematic is much more confusing than Titleists. So corrected the weights, and chopped an inch off the driver, now 44.5 and swingweight is almost identical to my D3 at, erm D3.

So will see how that goes.

Bloody hell!
I thought I could go through my equipment.I have got nothing on you though.
I am on my 3rd set of irons this year Ping i10's,Taylormade r9 Tp's which I still have, and my current set Titleist ap2 710 forged.
Not convinced by the Titleists though seem to have lost a bit of distance.Just had shoulder surgery so out of action for rest of the year(maybe this hasn't helped)
I have been on here looking at WITB's and feel the need to spend ,spend, spend.

Not mine, but my brother's. He ordered his a month earlier than mine, and only just got it. We played in a hurricane this morning so it was hard to tell how it went. Less loft than mine.

I think it would look better with the white on the bottom, but nevermind. I didn't get to hit his but will do soon.

For those of you contemplating white grips, unless you've got a staff/cart bag, they're gonna get dirty really quick. I think if they had a white cap, like the black and white ones it may make a difference.

I have the same grips and have no problem keeing them clean - honestly I don't have to do much to keep them white. Usually whipe them down when I clean my clubs. WIping them down also helps maintain the tackiness.

I don't know what you were doing to get yours that dirty.

First time I stumbled across this thread......I love it! Awesome stuff. The J40's look unreal.  Be interesting to see how long they last.
