Cool setup, first I've seen Mizuno wedges in play by a non staffer player. I also remember them saying his 3 wood was a bargain bin club in a prior tournament.  I'd like to find the 8M2 in a bargain bin.

My putter is 29.5". It is actually pretty easy to get weighted properly. I am sure Titleist can do it in no time. Depends on what weight he prefers as well, of course.

I'm surprised he goes with the V1.... Most guys with his distance have to go with a lower spinning ball or they balloon like mad. Guess the purple shaft (love it!) makes all the difference. :)

Longest hitter on tour(debatable, but statistically he's on top) uses them ballooning KBS shafts with the high spin ProV1. Are they hardstepped twice or something?

Funny stuff there...sometimes I think people just repeat others opinions before trying themselves.  I've been a life long DGX-100 player that used PX 6.5 for about a season before trying KBS X.  I had zero issues ballooning KBS or launching them too high.  I never launched them significantly higher than DG or PX.  Ultimately went back to DGX-100 but KBS don't launch it too much higher IMO unless you have some serious swing flaws.

Haha, exactly. I was making a joke about the hyperbolic tales of KBS moonballs. If Garrigus uses them I'm sure there are very few on this board that can't get a decent flight out of the shaft.

i have been using the kbs tour 6.0 since last summer and used project x shafts and also s300 i reall dont thing the ball flight is any differnt but maybee i feel like i can get the kbs higher quicker if need for example over  tree or etc. that maybee my opinion but a good player would know to controll trajectory and the kbs dont balloon i have felt it might be high launch but when i wen on track man no difference so dont be haters people

+1. Don't really feel a HUGE difference besides the weight of the shaft and that I can get the KBS's higher to start if I need to.

The satin protos so far did not perform as KB wanted them to. While they were a hair lower launch and spin than the KBS Tours, they are not quite there yet, so we should be able to expect another version in the near future.

Agree with this... I've played X100s and S300s for a long time, and recently tried PX 6.5s and some Rifle 6.0s (I'm in between flexes), but decided on hardstepped KBS in S. The KBS do seem to get the ball up more quickly, but they flatten out pretty nicely, definitely not the "ballooning" that so many claim around here.

Seeing Garrigus live at TPC last month inspired me to chop my putter down to 29 inches.  Never comfortable with a 33inch and always choked down anyway almost to the shaft.  Since then Ive been nailing 10 footers more consistently than I ever have.  So cheers to you Garrigus.  Too bad I cant have your drive game though
