Very cool.  IMO I would probably do it all one color and fill in everything but either way it looks great.  I'm too scared to try and do something like this.  Good work, you're brave!

i tried to have all my school colors on.  (white, orange, and black).  I had to redo 5 of the numbers on the irons cause they dropped haha. other than that its not too bad, just meticulous.

thanks a lot guys.  i think paintfilling your irons is a pretty unique thing to do.  especially in the winter months.  i am however thinking about buying some solid white and solid orange grips.  i think that would be pretty bad @$$ too.

I like the orange. Not sold on the white. If you get the white grips though, I think it would look pretty slick b/c you'll have a sweet color balance/scheme thing going on. Good luck!

Looks great. Would the white color on the sole require high maintenance to keep it white?

I think i will be ok. i painted the numbers on the 7 iron nd 8 iron nd played 3 rounds with them.  i put a lot on the 7, and the 8 was very very thin in the number. the 8 wore down, but the 7 was unharmed.  i hit a bunch of balls with them too.  I also put them through a club cleaner for a minute at a time.  no damage to either.

This time around i redid the 7 and 8 iron when i painted the whole batch.  I filled the numbers up to just under the brim with paint.  I then put 2 coats of top coat on there.  If im right, and my test run was not faulty, i should have atleast a year worth of use before i have to paint the numbers again. Maybe even more.  that top coat is like cement.

Its all good anyway.  I bought the blades in august, and the paint was already off of half of the numbers.  It was a kind of plasticy paint.  The nail polish i used is very thick/hard  so it wont crack or demolish.  especially with the top coat. One thing i do know is i might not be able to keep my clubs in my car on hot days haha.
