I love the way my 58 Callaway X-Tour Wedge performs. From every lie, out of sand, it is just perfect for me. I have one with the PM grind and this just seems to fit my short game technique perfectly. However, it is getting old, and I will have to replace it eventually. It is impposible to still get new ones with the PM grind (at least in Europe), the newer Callaway models only have the c-grind, and I do not see any other wedges that have a similar grind.
Does anybody know what comes close?

I see a gap. There definitely is a gap.

Did you check to see if any Callaway X-Forged wedges in the loft and bounce were available?  The X Tour & X Forged are very close in feel and design.

Thank you. Like they say, Joe Kwok knows his stuff.  :D
I did not know about these, but you are exactly right, this sort of grind that takes material off the middle of the sole, is what I want. Now I will try to figure out how to get them in Europe.
Thanks again.

My pleasure!

Or I have one tour issue spinmilled vokey that has that grind, I'm thinking of selling it. I rarely use it, so the groves are still damn good. It just rusted due to raw finish.

Would it be possible to do that grind on a non c-grind X Forged wedge? How much weight would you loose and have to add to make that work? I too love that wedge and fear that mine will be wearing out too soon.

The Callaway Tour Authentic wedges that came out a couple years ago had a PM grind on the 58/60.

Can you still get those TA wedges? Or are they out of stock?

I takes a few grams in loss only, but its not easy to make (IMO)
Joey has made a wedge grind i guess will work like the PM grind or Titleist P grind.
"Sexy lips" is the one i'm thinking about, but i guess Joey can explain if they are "compatible".

Where in Europe are you? I might help you by renovating your X-Tour wedge, and if wanted adjust the grind by heel and toe grind to make it even better.
Here is my own gamer, a 60 x-tour with PM grind and added heel & toe "adjustments

This grind will lost the most weight if it done properly.

Average will loose around 4-5gr. So Initially you will need a heavier head weight to get a good result. Tungsten ingots a good way to bring the weight up if 6 gr on more the replacement weight you need. More weight will loose if we add heel and toe relief grind.

Yeah you can still get TA wedges, although they are expensive. Looks like both of them have PM grind.

I actually have a 58 X-Tour vintage with PM that's brand new and never used... PM me if you are interested.
