Message to my current clubs
I've been fickle and unfaithful to all the clubs that I purchased in the last 4 years. A lot of them remain in the garage, waiting to take your spot in the bag. You were my weapons of choice for the league club championship and you guys played lights out. I think I'm ready to make a commitment! I give you my word that I'll stick with ya'll till I shoot a round at or below par*. Who knows, you might stick around for other milestones as well if you keep up your end of the bargain. The Ho is dead.. Long live the gamers!

PS: Hey Itsy Spider... I'm gonna still bench you and play your big brother (Spider) when I feel you misbehave, just cause. But hey, you managed to beat the 4 camerons and the ping redwood who will remain in the closet and never get to be in the bag.

* I'm a 10 capper and lowest score so far was 5 over. Shoot in the low 80s and  high 70s on the average.

Bah, don't need em. They are the clubs that get me in trouble and primary cause for double bogeys.

In the closet - 15+ sets and 10+ wedges.. don't want to list em now. Maybe a picture in the future

driver, 2 hybrids, 5-PW, Wedge and Putter

I walk most of the time and it helps to keep the bag light.

I don't know him personally. I met him thru craigslist couple of months ago and unfortunately I don't remember his name anymore. I looked him up after we met and he had even played a couple of PGA events 7-8 years ago.

It had gotten me up and down in clutch situations numerous times.

I used to carry 2-3 wedges, but found it easier to just master one as I don't get enough practice time to get adjusted to more than one.

The burner has a steel shaft and I use it for distances from 175-200 yards. I love how its so forgiving and workable at the same time.

The A7 plays longer and I use it for 190-220 yards and off the tee on short par 4's. Its fairly new addition and I sacrifice a little bitof distance and go with the burner if there is trouble involved (hazards, OB etc)

I might replace the 19 degree burner with a 21 or 22 degree burner if I come across one for cheap.

Yep,, those Srixons are pretty and very low maintainance for forged irons. I was tempted to pick up the set with s300's on sale in the B/S/T.

I knew I'd catch some grief for the head covers

I don't mind my clubs getting worn from hitting shots, but I don't like bag chatter on forged irons.

I wouldn't use the covers if I'm gaming cast irons, but with forged irons, I'll risk looking like a 65 year old

At least I don't use my rain cover when its not raining.. now that's retarded and giving grief worthy.

If I do hit a wall during my quest to achieving a par round, I will take your advice and ditch the iron covers

Scored a par round on a Par 30 course (9 holes - 3 Par4's and 4 Par 3's)

I know its not the same as scoring a par on an 18 hole course.. but it is a step in the right direction for me. I've played this course for 5 years and my best was 1 over.

Had a birdie on the first hole (par 4) followed by a double bogey on the next hole (GIR and 4 putt). Had 2 birdies, a bogey and all pars after that on the remaining 7 holes.

Only used 8 clubs - 6-PW, Putter and burner hybrid

I've sold the A7 and am gaming a 9015D for the driver. Other than that the bag remains the same (8 months and running!)..  which is something I am proud about, as I've changed iron sets like underwear prior to this

Thats funny.. cause the only set that I've been tempted to try for the last 8 months are the J38 dual cavities.

They are both Japanese clubs, so that might explain the likeness.

I've had 50+ rounds using these irons and they still like they do in the picture taken 8 months ago (find the durability comparable to the Pings!)

*sigh* won a new set of irons and putter last weekend on Ebay. Wasn't really looking to win the auction, but there were no higher bids. Also picked up an Adams tour issues driver head from Sellingers and they will all be getting here today or tomorrow.

I guess it was meant to happen, since my birthday is this week. I wasn't really expecting my snipes to actually win the auction. damn it! My paypal balance is now back to 0.
