Hi there,
I am heading out to Cabo in late October for a friends wedding and will have time for 1 round of golf in the morning.
Our first 2 picks are out of the question due to price.(Diamante $295, Cabo Del Sol $350)

It looks like out options are down to Cabo Real, Palmilla, and Puerto Los Cabos.

I'm sure all 3 of these courses are awesome in their own way, but could somebody here guide me and give me their opinion of which one you would play if you had to choose one?  Which one would be most memorable??

Thanks!

you're going to pay over $200 wherever you go.  I'd cough up the coin and head to Diamante - it's a once in  a lifetime experience (as long as the wind isn't blowing).

I have played a fair amount of the courses in Cabo and would definitely recommend Cabo Del Sol or Diamante.  My favorite would be the Ocean course at Cabo Del Sol.  I agree with rubberducky, who knows when you will be down there to play again, why not spend the extra hundred or so and play one of the better courses down there and take in the amazing views.  Trust me, you won't regret it.

If you are dead set on going the cheaper route, Cabo Real would get my vote.

Don't know if I've missed you, but I enjoyed Palmilla much more than Cabo Real (about 5 years ago).

Agree on Palmilla and El Dorado is in excellent condition. Diamante, like others have posted, is one different experience. Another option to look into is Qerencia. Fazio design near Palmilla and El Dorado. Cabo Del Sol is nice. With these you have a great chance of playing some really good tracks.

Bahia de Los Sueños is a Tom Doak Design that looks pretty nice. www.bahiasuenos.com/doak-golf also check out if you can get on El Dorado that is a nice course. Try looking at afternoon/twilight times they get down under $200

Is it possible to get on the Diamante these days if I have zero connections and have no intention of buying anything there?

Im thinking of taking my wife to Cabo for a second time... this time would be for her birthday

I played the front 9 at Cabo del Sol Ocean in 2009.... it was really really nice... I cant see myself paying $355 + $65 for clubs to play.... Anyone have another suggestion on where to play? Cabo Real?

Golf in Cabo is sooooo over priced

Diamante is worth every pen they ask, or whatever presentation you sit through!  An incredible experience!!  I was not like anything I have ever played!

Also, if you can get on at Querencia, do it. Best I've played in Mexico. Very private, though. Need to be sponsored by a member.

Have you played Diamante and how did they compare?

No, haven't played it. Heard great things about it though.

Played both Diamante and Cabo Del Sol Ocean in July. Both amazing, but Cabo Del Sol for me... simply amazing. Also the time share presentation at Diamante sucks balls. I paid under US$200 for both rounds.
