I am looking at some of these irons as well...can you help me understand a bit more as to what you are getting at...you state the MP 53 is more forgiving, but does not have any advantages over the 52...isn't this an advantage?? Also, why is the 52 a better set for you overall? Thanks for your thoughts...

The MP-53 is apparently more forgiving than the MX-300, according to the Mizzy UK website:
Chris Voshall, R&D: "Our design ethos is about packing as much forgiveness as we can into smaller, more versatile packages. The MP-53 is an incredible iron – it's smaller than our previous game improvement iron the MX-300, yet still more forgiving.

I had my heart set on MX-300 now that they had drop in price but I'm loving the look of the MP-53 and would only need 4-PW and be able to have them custom made is great. Anyone know what the up charge is for KBS?

Well I'm not speaking FOR him but just because an iron is forgiving doesn't mean that it's better for a better golfer. Too much forgiveness can make it harder to work the ball. Perhaps the 52's are right at the edge of what he likes as far as a blend of workability and forgiveness.
Now speaking personally, I have a similar problem with hybrids. They are easier to hit but I already hit the ball high. Hybrids, while being more forgiving, exacerbate this tendency. So for me, it's easier for me to play a 3i than a hybrid. In this case, as with the other guy, forgiving does not equal better.
