I recently bought a pair of Maui Jim Black Rock Sunglasses and they look amazing.  I get compliments on them everywhere I go. I didn't intend to purchase these to go golfing with, but I recently went on MauiJim.com and found that the Black Rock glasses were somewhat marketed towards golfers.  How do you guys feel about golfing with sunglasses?  I never tried it because I feared it would mess with my depth perception.  But my Maui Jims have AWESOME clarity.  I do have trouble following my ball sometimes during flight.  It's my first pair $300 shades, although I have some $200 Oakleys.  What do you guys think?  Play with sunglasses or not?

Sun, wind, or those damn gnats.  It has been overcast and calm the past two days and I still wear them to keep the gnats out of my eyes.  Gnats love calm and overcast.

I wear Peakvisions which do help to see the breaks on the greens better.  Though I've been trying to find some Maui Jim Banyans with the HT lenses for cheap to give a try.

Oakley G30 Radar Path.  I play with these in almost any light conditions.  My eyes are very sensitive to the sun, so I wear sunglasses if I am outside at all.  I do have a problem following the ball in flight, but am not sure if it is the glasses or my eyes.  As for reading greens, the G30 lens is great.  My ability is suspect, but not the sunglasses....

I have gone the Kenny Perry/Trevor Immelman route with the Transitions lenses. Before that I was wearing contacts with wrap-around shades and that was cool too. The shades actually blocked a lot of dust and allergens from getting in my eyes and kept the wind away from my contacts. I played that way for years with no problems.

If you want to go "Iceman" you need cool shades. :beach:

between shots, Oakleys...otherwise they ruin my depth perception to actually hit a ball while wearing them.

The Oakley Flak Jackets with the G30 lenses are awesome. Excellent depth perception and clarity.

I was wearing my Rayban Predators during a golf lesson and mentioned to my pro that the frame in my glasses obstructed the view a bit on my takeaway.  His response was that if you look at the pros playing, most don't wear sunglasss for that reason.  Or they wear Oakleys or another pair without a frame that would not be obtrusive.  I'm sure you all know this already.

For me, a baseball cap is fine.

No, I only wear sunglasses when I'm driving a car. I have no idea what brand they are and I'm sure I didn't spend more than $10 on them however long ago it was when I bought them.

Contacts with Oakleys -- G30 Flackjacket XLJ.  Only wish they were just a bit larger.  Easy to read the greens and follow the ball.  Don't even know they are there.  Looking at some Sundog's for the larger lens.

I wear prescription Ray-Bans as well. I worry that Transitions would get dark at inappropriate times. You guys who have them, do they ever get real dark when you are inside a bright room, like an office or at a hospital?

Just started this summer.  Maui Jim's and a pair of Sundog's.  Both with bronze/amber lenses.

I'm finding the lens color helps make everything clear especially late afternoon/early evening.
