OK, I am cool with DQ and WD as results of tourneys, but does anyone know what NC stands for on a leaderboard?

No Card which means they did not turn there scorecard in. Usally means a high score and they can't handle turning it in.

Thanks trot, that clears it up and is also what someone else told me it was for.

What's the difference between WD'ing and NC'ing? If you shoot an outrageous number and just WD, doesn't your score just go in as WD and not what you shot? I am very confused why anyone on any tour would do something like NC at an event. Wouldn't sponsors REALLY look poorly upon that, or if it was on a mini tour where you are essentially throwing your own dough in the ring, it is even that much worse I think...

My belief was that WD'ing before playing (injury or whatnot) will not have a score posted, wit, never mind, what happens if someone tears a muscle on the course and can not complete round? Is that a WD or an NC?

Anyways, my guess as to why someone would NC is why you have never heard of it MAGuy1970. In a sport where being honest and respectful are supposed to be the core of a gentlemanly game, you should not see NC's, hopefully the amount of DQ's are minimal and all due to some slight oversight and not by the intent of a player.
