Interested in the new Adams driver with these shafts, but never had the pleasure of hitting either and was wondering what are they like, and what do they compare to that i might have hit already. Swing speed driver 105, handicap 4. thanks

I may get roasted for this, so I am going to go ahead and throw my flame retardant suit on now.  But, I had a 70X and absolutely hated it.  I did not find it low launching or low spinning at all.  The feel was good, the flight blew major chunks.  I like the Project X 8A4 and the Miyazaki Black much much better.  Both of those shafts are low spinning and low launching rocket launchers.  My SS is a little faster than yours and but not a lor.  I hit 110 to 117 normally.

You're not alone. I tinkered with a superdeep with a RIP alpha 70 stiff and thought it was ok, nothing great. After a while I just thought the shaft felt too harsh and kinda dead. I have heard great things about the Miyazaki line and hopefully will be gaming a Kusala blue in a Cleveland DST soon. For the big hitters the black looks to be a beast.

I have a RIP 60X Alpha in my superfast....I really like it.  Great ball flight and low spin.  I don't have 'numbers' to prove this but I'm further out there on the fairway......that's what matters.

I have a R9 TP with a TP RIP 70X coming from a member today or tomorrow....I'll let you know how that goes.

I play a RIP 70-S Alpha in my R9 driver and it is probably my favorite shaft I've had in a driver.  For me at least it feels a lot like a Harrison Saga but slightly more stout feeling over-all, especially towards the tip.  When I put a really good swing on it the ball is just blasted.  Nice flat flight coupled with the best roll-out I have ever gotten from a driver head/shaft combo.

Alpha 90 and 105 in my 3W and hybrid, both are awesome shafts, for me at least. Trying to find a 60 or 70 for my driver.

I love the RIP 70x in the SuperTri head, but I think it plays soft to flex. My clubhead speed is 108 mph, and untipped X flex is perfect. Anything over 110 mph is going to need some serious tipping to make the shaft work. For me, the shaft has great feel with low spin and mid launch. On Trackman, my numbers with the STri head and RIP shaft were 12.2* launch and 2300 rpm.

I bagged a Titleist 909 D3 w\ WB63X before my superfast tp.  WB did feel smoother but the RIP seems to have a better 'snap' when it unloads.  IMO, it feels similar to a PX graphite.

I 'read' that the TP RIP is softer than the alpha ( but are said to be the same shaft ).  Like I mentioned before, It'll be interesting to hit the R9 w\ the TP RIP

I really think it's how you load the shaft, tempo etc....some people would argue that the WB is boardy and I think it's totally opposite.
