You're not alone. I tinkered with a superdeep with a RIP alpha 70 stiff and thought it was ok, nothing great. After a while I just thought the shaft felt too harsh and kinda dead. I have heard great things about the Miyazaki line and hopefully will be gaming a Kusala blue in a Cleveland DST soon. For the big hitters the black looks to be a beast.

I have a R9 TP with a TP RIP 70X coming from a member today or tomorrow....I'll let you know how that goes.

for you guys that love the RIP what shaft did you used to play and what shaft is the RIP similiar to?
I bagged a Titleist 909 D3 w\ WB63X before my superfast tp. WB did feel smoother but the RIP seems to have a better 'snap' when it unloads. IMO, it feels similar to a PX graphite.
I 'read' that the TP RIP is softer than the alpha ( but are said to be the same shaft ). Like I mentioned before, It'll be interesting to hit the R9 w\ the TP RIP
I really think it's how you load the shaft, tempo etc....some people would argue that the WB is boardy and I think it's totally opposite.
