Bought this shaft on a "spur of the moment" ebay purchase and installed it in my old TaylorMade V-Steel 3 wood (X Flex). I have to say I was extremely impressed. I was surprised at how straight and piercing my shots were. I didn't expect much from this shaft, but now I'm having a hard time justifying why I shouldn't put the V-Steel/BiMatrix combo back in the bag as my "gamer".

Took a 9.5 R510 TP W/ NVS 75 x flex and switched it out for bimatrix proto 80 x flex. Ball flight is now a little lower, it now rolls out about 20 yards more and i'm playing more second shots from the fairway.I found it used in pink and the fellas give me a hard time about my extra stiff pink shaft but there usualy well behind "pinkys" drives. At 109 MPH this shaft rock!

bought this shaft a year ago for a sonartec ss-07 3 wood in X flex....

Shaft is pretty accurate, although it will feel softer than whatever flex you play...
It still plays very near a x-stiff flex when look at in CPMs
It feels a little whippier at the bottom tho because of the heavy steel tip

Added a few swingweights to my club because of the shaft design with the heavy steel tip..
Good shaft if you like a "softer feel" in your shaft, and if you want the ball to get up in the air a little more..

Also, I saw a slightly reduced spin rate from this shaft

Overall, not my cup o' tea...I like stiffer feeling shafts

Although its not my feel, performace is still impressive!

ok here goes.... I on a whim went ebay cabin crazy this winter and bought a demo MX500 9.5 driver for 89 bucks and a pink stiff bimatrix proto for 49 greenbacks,  stripped all the paint off the head, pulled the shaft repainted the head in mizuno bluerage metalic , FLOed and Spined the shaft, then slapped em all together with a pink golf pride multi grip with 2 extra wraps and didnt cut down the shaft... played 18 holes today 16 mph wind... holy #%$#^$@ is this thing straight... and LONG...I am not so sure im going to cut it down. I used it on 12 holes and never missed a fairway... Im just so dang impressed!!!  it is a softer feeling shaft but its so long, a smooth swing just hucks the sphere out there every time.  Gps says 263-302 into and with the wind 275-288 across it. very impressive for me and i just love the feel of this setup, I have not been able to kick my 440sz/nvprototype setup to the curb but this may just do it.... mmmmmmm im in loveI cant wait to get on a monitor and see what the spin is because I could not believe how it just ignored the wind. TOO COOL

is this the same bimatrix that david toms used in his 5 wood? I have a bimatrix sitting in the closet but I'm not sure it its the same or not. Did they make an earlier model?

there are tons of older versions...but none are in the realm of the graf prototype...

I agree wholeheartedly with that...oh and a brass shim unit is all that is needed to go into larger bore. mine is  working out great. just never tip trim this shaft , it will wreck the qualities of the shaft.

sorry guys the company is cosmogolf.ca   not com    they do not however have .350 tip you  will have to use a shim

I have been thinking about giving one of these a try, would you say it is a "Big Hitter" only shaft?  I'm not a big hitter, I do like high launch in my driver and I do like a bit of additional weight in my driver shaft.  Would be interested in any thoughts from some who have played it.

not at all; I am, however, a somewhat big hitter but when my friends swing this shaft they fall in love and go get one... The added swingweight and heavier tip weight give u greater control and power... Might just make u a big hitter...

I have This driver shaft uncut in an X flex Pink brand new still in the plastic. I'm looking for the same shaft in the same condition same color in a stiff flex. If someone is willing to do a swap I am game. I joined this website to try to find someone who can help me please let me know. Thank you.

I know these shafts aren't supposed to be tipped. Does this mean there's no way to stiffen the shaft?

I currently have one in the stiff FW model and it just isn't stiff enough. Is there any way to stiffen it?

I've been looking for a Pink Bimatrx in X flex forever. Bubba's win today only makes me want one even more. Guess I'll never find one.

Mine is now in a mx 560 and still love it.  I also put a reg flex in a 10deg cobra sz440 head for fun... it balloons for me but at a more moderate swingspeed it still goes quite well.

I actually have to originals that he uses.  I got them from a former Ping REP that was on tour.  has the steel tip and all. Actual shaft he uses. Not a retail knockoff.  Take a look.

I have played with the bi matrix and loved the shaft.  I recently just got a R11 TP head (tour Serial Number) and looking at attempting to put a bi matrix if I can ever get one.  Has anybody ever tried this? And what was the out come.  positive or negative.  As well is there anybody out there with a X flex bi matrix (pink) for sale.  Let me know

Longball, you have an S flex?! I've been looking everywhere for one.  A golf shop by my house has a couple pink one's, R flex.
