hey jim! i've got 5 pairs of contours. here's what i do...
when i get home i hose 'em off to remove everything i can, then take an old golf towel and sort of scrub 'em & dry 'em at the same time. then i throw wood trees in 'em. works great!
sometimes i'll get some dirt discoloration in the cracks. i take some glass cleaner, spray it on an old toothbrush, and gently scrub away the stain. i also use glass cleaner all around the shoe. the toothbrush really gets into all those tiny areas. of course, i rinse the shoes thoroughly after. i have had zero problems doing this.
unfortunately, the toothbrush develops an awful taste, so you should take it out of the bathroom and not brush with it.
