I like the Newport style putters but what are the prices of Yamada's and what is the difference in them compared to any other milled putter out there? I am happy with the traditional plumbers neck newport style putter. About 20 putter makers offer that. These boutique guys are good because they offer the specialized necks and designs but there is no incentive for a guy like me to switch.

Looks great.  What about headweight, pricing, available dexterity, customization?  Thanks

Here are the website to read for more info:

http://www.yamadamilled.com

They are come varies from 345-370 grams depending on models. Most are around 355. Some model are available in different weights, ie: 85029 has 355 and 365 if i'm not wrong. I'm a little lost on that since most people asked for 350 ish area.

Emperor (newport 2 style head) is the most selling of all models, second would be the 85029 ( Scottsdale anser/009 style head). Copper finish or smoked black is the most popular people picked.

I know for sure 85029 are available in LH, I can ask them if any one seriously trying to inquire one.

Suggested retail pricing are $425

All putter are build according to specs request within availability.

Cheers!

joe

I am gaming the 85029 and it sure feels soft.  In my opinion, it feels better than Scotty Cameron.  Accurate, too.

These posts crack me up.  How does something feel better?  Is it softer, firmer, or it just feels "better?"

I'm using one of these at the moment. It does have a softer feel than any other milled putter I've used, plus it still has a click to it, which is an unusual combination. These are beautiful putters, and better than any Cameron (other than Tel3) I've tried, though I am partial to Bettinardis and Whitlams as well. Going to try against a method soon.

No kidding man.

I recently got a Yamada Musashi (85029) in burning copper.

Ordering an orange Gripmaster (AUS) grip with YAMADA going down the handle this week.

Absolutely incredible craftsmanship on this putter.

Makes my two Scotty Cameron Newports and my Bettinardi look bad.

Mr. Yamada is an artist, no doubt about it.

Aha! So you're the one who ended up with that putter :D

I was looking at that putter, too.

Let us know if you find out who R.E. is.

Is there any Yamada face balanced? I've been having trouble finding a carbon steel face balanced mallet outside Bettinardi and C&L.
