Just watching McIlroy putting lights out with the SC Fastback at Quail Hollow championship.  It looks like zero offset, center shafted custom.  is it available from retail... if not there will be some demand.  Sets course record 62 on a course with some tough Sunday pins.  If I have identified this putter incorrectly, please add feedback.

After watching some replays, it doesn't look center shafted and face balanced, but it does look zero offset.  Similar setup as the Newport 2.6 but with the Fastback designhead.  Magic wand in the 20 year old's hands.

i was going to buy my pro's and do this.  Put a straight shaft in... But he told me that it was serious taboo to mess with scotties...  I still might buy it though, just to give my spider some competition.

Tell your pro to relax and remember that they are JUST PUTTERS.  "Messing" with a Cameron is simply doing what you want to with your own putter, to make it more like what you want to see, when you look down at your putter.
"TABOO"  :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy:

That's a good one.

LaMont in AZ

PS< ask your pro how many PGA Pros use "Off the Rack" Camerons and see what he says.....then let us know.
He is probably a nice guy, just a little mis-guided,  ;)

i sent my fastback to Tom Slighter and had a straight shaft installed just back from center like Rory's and i have to say that my putting has dramatically gotten better.  i understand its not a magic stick but my confidence has skyrocketed.    I highly recommend having tom do the work as it is second to none.

Shaft is def more towards the heel. Kind of like the Rife Martinique. Love this style and would pick one up if it ever came out.

I thought yours would be the one the that had the cavity welded and big 'tour' dots added. The deep milling on that one is amazing... gonna have Tom do that to my SSL Mid-Slant.

Unless Lamont would do it cheaper... Diapers are expensive! Not mine... my newborn's. I'm only 31

Am I a crazy or was Rory using a Newport style bronze finish Scotty today that he has used in the past?  I must have been seeing things because he just shot a 62 with the custom fastback???  Someone please correct me.

That is sweet! I just sent a fastback 1 in to have a centershaft welded in just like Rory's. It's also getting snow and a flame finish. I am super excited. It should look great. I just hope I can putt with it as well as Rory did at Quail Hollow!

Titleist/Cameron are calling Rory's putter a "half-shaft" fastback prototype.. I guess it means that its halfway between a heel shaft and a center shaft.. Hence half-shaft..

These "half shafts" are all screaming brilliant.  It doesn't look like you can miss with one of those.  I am adding this to my list of things I "need."

How much was this if you don't mind me asking?  I've been thinking about doing this for a while now.
