Guys who have hit both... Have you found much of a difference aside from shape in the PING G10/G15 hybrids? One easier to play than the other? Does the G10 play better with the stock TFC shaft or V2?

Not sure I like the design of the G15 or not... plus I like the lower prices on what I could get a G10 for.

I have played both and find the G15 much superior to the G10.  It sets up better, is more forgiving, gives a better trajectory and is longer.  Now this is in my personal comparison.  I also happen to like the look of an iron hybrid.  But, by my comparison, it is much easier to hit with much more forgiveness.

I guess with these two responses I have to go hit the G15's. I really do not like the look. I have g10 hybrids and I LOVE Them. I might switch to the i15's as I like the look of them better. Hopefully more people post here so i can figure out what to do.

The G15 hybrid is noticably straigther and more forgiving. I don't think that I was overly impressed by any pick up in distance.

I have the G15 23 deg and have found it straighter and more forgiving than previous Ping hybrids.  Looks take getting used to but found that didn't take very long to get over.

I wasn't a fan of the G10 hybrids. Actually preferred the G5. Really like the G15 from trying them at the demo day, but the Alpha or TEE are superior in my mind. As far as PING though, G15 seemed like a marked improvement over G10.

I have to agree the G15 all the way.  I bought a 20* was not real sure if I liked it.  After using it a while I decided I really like it.  Just got a 17* yesterday even more impressed with it.  May get a 23* as well.  Very easy to hit nice high flight.  Guess I should add that I like the TFC reg flex shaft the best as well.

I too was trying to decide between the G10 and G15 27*/28* hybrid to replace my untrustworthy 5 iron. I already have 21* and 24* G10s. Do people think keeping the G10s and adding the G15 would make it hard to transition smoothly?

G15 for sure!!!These babies are long,soft
,and arrow straight.FWIW,there is no comparison between the two.Yes ,they take a little getting use to the look as some mightb say,but after you see the ball fly you should get ove the look pretty quick, best of luck!

I am going a little against the grain here but the G10 is a solid stick. I'm not a big fan of the G15. I admit that it has a lot to do with the shape (visual learner). As for the G10, it just feels solid. I hit it long, straight, but workable and fairly forgiving (I'm a solid ball striker, so this isn't the determining factor for me). I would actually compare it to the i15 instead of the G15. I can't really speak to the shaft because I reshafted it immediately after I bought it.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Any thoughts on the V2 vs the TFC shaft in the G10?

G15.  Absolutely!  Ugly as sin.  Someone properly described it as a swollen thumb, but it works.  Long, lands soft, point and shoot.  Who would have thunk looking at this thing?  Some feel there is too much offset but I have tried a bunch and this baby is in my bag and a go to club.

I currently have an 18* G10 and considering a 17* G15 given all the praise the G15's are getting. Curious if the more upright lie angle of the G15 has caused any issues for anyone? Also, can the G15 be ordered with a flatter lie angle? I've emailed Ping, but haven't received a reply.

No problems for me with the upright lie angle. I am 2* upright in my irons though. I got the G15 with the AWT steel shaft and love the flight.

I called Ping and said they can do a one-time adjustment +-2*.

I hit all the hybrids at a demo day today. Really liked the i15 and Rapture V2. Anyone have feedback on the Rapture V2 hybrids?

So I played my G15 27* hybrid on a course for the first time this weekend. The first time I pulled it out was on a hole that would normally be a 5i for me, with a good breeze (but not Kapalua-like) in my face. So I choked up on the G15 and got really solid contact. The group of strangers I was with all said "good shot" as it flew towards the green, and I was actually worried it might go long. When the ball looked like it had reached its apex, it started to steeply rise even further as the wind got a hold of it. It seemed like it took forever to float to the ground . . . 20 yards short of the pin. So that shot confirmed what I had experienced on the driving range, which was a high, straight ball flight (using stock R flex TFC shaft). Very different feel and results from my G10 hybrids.

They look like a big toe.  But big toes can serve a purpose, just ask Sgt. Hulka from "Stripes".  Some of you will get that.  Anyway a little too much offset for me, and I'm not one of these snooty asses that rags GI or SGI equipment.  I love and use the stuff.  I just think I can't square the face, just can't set up over it.  No question they perform, everyone that gets them seems to like them.  I tell you a great hybrid nobody mentioned was the Rapture hybrids.  Thos can be had for a song right now.

Have G10's both with UST V2 and bought a G15 with Serrano (also bought some A7's with AXIVCore).  Trying to figure out which ones to keep and what ones to sell.  I like them all and I still have not made up my mind.  My G15/Serrano hits a bit higher and is a bit more forgiving than the G10 or the A7's.  I am a high ball, high spin hitter so I don't need the increased trajectory.  I think distance is a wash.  My only conclusion thus far is that I think I prefer the V2 to the AXIVCore shaft.  The G15 takes some getting used to in the looks department.  I just forced myself to forget about the looks and just swing normally.  Performance of the G15 is great.

I play my 18* G10 more from the tee on short par 4's than from the fairway. Occasionally I will hit it on the 2nd shot of a par 5, but more often than not, I will play an iron to leave a full wedge in.....

Regardless - I find the traditional look of the G10 to be better for me on the teebox and it feels much more confidence inspiring to me. Both perform well (only hit the 15 on a demo day) no complaints about the g10 from me.
