It depens on the weather, and what I feel like.  Sometimes I will just wear the shades and no hat.  On a sunny day, this makes for a red forehead

I used to do that as well. But after having a few skin cancers removed I don't anymore any burn can contribute to cancer down the road, hope it doesn't ever show up for you, but wear hats when possible it can save your skin down the road as the ozone continues to peel off.

I know that my family history leads to skin issues, so I have began to either wear hats most of the time or sunscreen on the head.  Not worth the hassle down the road.

I've never worn hats until I took up golf. Now I wear a hat every time I hit the course. I own a couple of Nike caps and visors, JL caps and visors and a couple of Sumi-G caps.

Visors for me... not sure why, I just like them...

Lately it is the Adidas CLima Cool visors, just because they are so light, barely feels like I am wearing anything.

Old school Titleist Tour Visors for me.  I never see anyone wearing these big things anymore but I like em.  I alternate between a white and black one.  Only problem with black is the nice sweat ring running around the whole thing.

A while back, I found a whole lot of CAO (my last name) hats on fleebay and these are a few of what I wear. They're adjustable with velcro on the back.

Awesome find, I love CAO cigars.

Back to topic, I prefer flexfit, but have been leaning towards visors lately!

I prefer to wear a hat that matches some gear I'm using (bit OCD like that) so I have a few Mizuno hats and some Adidas but my favourite is probably a Nike soft fitting cap - all baseball style. Comfort is the overiding factor...

I am on the search for a flat cap - UK Grandad style - that doesn't make my large head look ludicrous. Similar to the Samuel L jackson / Christina Kim Kangol but worn cap forward.

Beanies look daft on me as well and I never got in with visors having given them a whirl.

I have ALWAYS worn a hat when playing. Just for providing a bit of shade and easier to see the ball with the sun blocked. I wear Ping, Callaway or different golf resorts caps BUT when the sun is really hot, I have been using a Panama hat or may now buy a Tilley hat with a wide brim.

A baseball style hat (in hot weather) just doesn't provide enough protection, especially on the back of your neck. When golfers complain about the heat, I'm surprised that they don't use a better covering hat.

Low-profile style Titleist and Nike mostly if I can find them with minimal logos.  Like the Nike dry fit fabric.  Too bad most "pro" hats now-a-days look like freakin' billboards.  Hate anything structured.  Took my TW hat to Goodwill shortly after Thanksgiving last year.

Anything that is not cotton. Don't need the half wet sweat ring around my hat during a round.

lots of color options too

There is a HUGE difference between HAT and CAP. A HAT has a brim all around, a CAP has NOTHING to protect you from sunburned neck and ears. A cap is NOT a hat, a hat is NOT a cap. It is HEADGEAR/HEADWARE; exactly the same as a car; A convertible is NOT a sedan but, they are still a CAR.

+1 to mesh hats, but I don't like fitted ones. Two options should have been mesh hats and Masters Hats...

Always wear a noggin cover.  Switched from Titleist unstructured cap (black, blue or stone) to white visors. Cooler down here at oil leak central LA (lower Alabama). Was wearing the low rise Titleists until got great "old school" white Titleist and a white Taylor Made from Japan.  Brim is a little wider for better protection from "ole sol" and has a nice terry sweat band.  Very affordable. In addition started wearing sport sunglasses - big plus! Strongly recommend wear sunglasses.

I usually wear a PING or Titleist cap.  I just bought a cap from Old Bandon Golf Links and like it so I will sport it for a while.  I like their logo and it reminds me of playing hickory golf.

I wish we could mark multiple options. I always wear a hat, I can go adjustable, fitted, or Flex-Fit, and I have lots of brands: Titleist, TW/Nike, TM, Scratch...

It may be gross, but I've worn the same Titleist flex fit hat for years when I'm golfing.  It's lucky, what can I say.

The Titleist mesh flex-fit hats are the best.

I'm a HO when it comes to hats. I will sport a visor during the Hotter months, but like the flex fit w/mesh backing. The logo is not that important, but I do favor Titleist and Under Armor, heat gear.

I throw my hats in the top self of the dishwasher once or twice a year and they come out real nice, but I also have a boatload of hats so they get rotated pretty frequently depening on the shirt that I wear with them.

thanks for the CAPS.....and the lesson on Caps/Hats....I clearly have been using the word Hat incorrectly my entire life
