Well, I got mine done now!  Actually did this one twice already - flat black painted it.  Didn't like it, car touch up painted it silver - paint chipped off, now did a TM ghosting with Testors enamel.

Wow thats some serious carnage there!. Some bad news about my putter, the finish I applied does not seem to handle the wear and tear on the course well. So far I have had 2 rounds with it and it's already showing some signs of wear and even grass stain. It might be a strip and rethink. I really dont like the white color, it is very distracting against the green. So far the only thing I like is the feel of the putter striking the ball.

Some odd mark on the face but not a scratch, just an odd mark.

And just so you guys know, it's rained almost everyday here in Houston. Humidity plays a very important role on paint finishes. I try to do all my finish during dry days for prepping and painting it takes several consecutive days. Then I also try to test the finish on one of my beater putters during games. If someone is willing to loan a paint booth I'll gladly speed the process up.

Please tell me this isn't it......

No paintfill, no bling....no nothing. 3 months for this. This thread should be called "How to destroy a thread". (IMO the grass stains are a marked improvement.)

Tim,
You should coat it with this stuff!
I use dura-coat on my putters, guns, all kinds of stuff in place of powder coating.

Another strange old world post. For years everyone has been painting black, oil canning, blueing clubs because of the "blinding glare" from chromed clubs. Now its fashionable to paint putters with high gloss enamel house paint. I can just imagine they will be a vision in midsummer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This thread inspired me.  It's not done polishing it yet and I am undecided on the finish that I'm going to use.  Maybe it will stay polished.  Let the pics speak for themselves.  Sorry for the crappy pics, but at least it's something.

This is the condition of the putter when I received it.  You cannot see all the rust on the face, but there was quite a bit.

Here it is semi-polished.  I also hit it with the grinding wheel :shok: to get rid of the dings on the topline.

I think the glitter might take away from the maintenance free copper. BUT.. I'm down with putting lots of glitter on the putter if getting away with hanging out at stripper clubs and blaming it on your putter is part of the goal...:fan_1:

Methinks that's the best double-entendre I've seen in a long time...well played.
