OK Tim,

You've officially pissed me off. It's time to bring out the BEEOOTTCCHH slapping gloves! On my way home from the game tomorrow I'm making two stops. One at the local "play it again sports" to find a steel putter head that needs some work and the second to get some copper Krylon.

I've got two kids, an uber stressful job a new house with a garage full of boxes, (thus hiding all my club type gear) and a wife who thinks golf is for idiots. And I'm still going finish my project before you.

Consider the Gauntlet slapped and thrown, laying at your feet!

Hope you take this in the fun context it was written in.

On March 13th you called out the OP.  Is yours done?  Or are we O for 2?   :russian_roulette:

why do i even bother checking this thread once it starts getting hits again? i HATE when people say they're gonna do something then don't. that other thread with the tour cameron or whatever that he was supposed to send in never happened either.

As a Texan, I'm with Tim on this one .... but I will tell you what and take it a step further.

YOU WILL get a painted putter head in this thread NO LATER than tomorrow morning. I WILL make sure of that.

I will not let this thread die without providing some kind of spiritual release. Posted Image

Textbook example of how a good thread can go bad.............................:russian_roulette:

At least I, like many amateur refinishers here, get our stuff done one way or another.

My Duracoated, Copper inserted Tri-Ball. (at least its a high tech coating)

I had to take out the "Old Faithful" on this one, as promised. I still use this putter on the short little par 3 near the office to jack around with at lunch. So I thought why not give it a 2 minute facelift?

Items used: Krylon GLOSS black, painters tape (wasn't so straight with this either).

I gave it a quick, and I mean quick hit with the sandpaper. Whiped it down, and sprayed. I actually didnt do the face, to see if it made any difference in feel, etc. I actually thought this was going to come out quite nice! But .... maybe you can see in the pic of the top of the putter ... yah ...it's already flaking off. So ... in about a week or two it's going to be a god aweful mess more than likely. Posted Image

And as an extra tidbit .... do NOT text and drive near downhill 90 degree turns. It does NOT work ... notice the Scratch hat upside down near the clubs? That was about where my head was at. :D

Hopefully this can start to make up for the lack of fun this thread had been....

I'd like to take this opportunity to nominate BP5168 for good samiritan poster of the year.

At least one person in this thread followed through on their promise. Right on.
