I wonder if Tiger will ever switch to the Sumo?
he should do i cant miss a fairway with mine straightest driver ever!!

He'd just have to wear earplugs when he is driving the ball cos you don't want to be deaf as a dad :D

i thought he played x100 shafts? i mean he plays his driver only x like jesper said it was a wet noodle so i would not be suprised if he only played x100  and if you think x300 is stiff you should see some x700!!!!

The bird on his 3 wood is a Kiwi.  It's a native New Zealand bird.

GO THE KIWIS!

Just a tip: Dont call an Aussie a Kiwi, and a Kiwi and Aussie....its like calling a Canadian an American.........  It offends us all!

For the records though: Kiwis are better than Aussies! :bad:

He's using one of those new EPIC shafts, check out the pics from his golf digest issue where he talks about his driving you can see the funky graphic designs on the EPIC.

Actually called DG Tours aka X700's.  He plays S400's in his SW and LW.

I believe @ one of the Nike corporate event Q&A session, Tiger himself said that he's played the same shaft since he was 14 years old. Dynamic Gold X100 tipped quarter inch.

Tiger has tried the SUMO, he said that he hits it straighter, but he loses a bit of distance, and he cant work the ball as much with it

Thanks. I don't really recall seeing that TW on the toe before.

Is that  the same as a Studio Stainless Newport 2?

Spot on! most don't play DG-tour they are super stiff. The better the player the softer the shaft you can get away with. Up until a few years ago sergio used s300

Yes it's a replica. His actual putter is still the same one since he started using this scotty. I think he was using a TeI3 before (won his first masters with it).
His "gamer" looks like sh*te. On the putter forums (tcc and puttertalk) are some in hand pics of his gamer. I would say 99% of players on here don't even have such a banged up putter as their gamer.

There has been speculation of him sending it to the cameron spa for a refinish once in a while. But it remains speculation. I read in Golfdigest a while ago that he only changed shafts twice since he started using it, and that was all the work that  was done to it.

See this topic for more pics of his bag. http://www.golfwrx.c...howtopic=160649

No it's the same shape. His is a Newport 2 GSS (German Stainless Steel). Some kind of Scotty voodoo steel. Some say it's actually a superior kind of steel (very soft), others say it's marketing mambojambo.
The insert in OTR Newport putters is GSS though, his putter is milled from solid GSS.

Spot off.  Sergio used S300 for only a couple months at most, after he hit some of father's irons that were shafted with it and liked the feel.

Tiger uses X100, don't believe the BSG bullxxxx.

Indeed as you can see in this pic. http://www.golfwrx.c...209122375-4.jpg

In that white circle it says the shaft specs. I can't read the numbers, but it certainly says "DG-X". I'm 95% sure it says "DG-X100"
I think we can all agree those pics are as accurate as it will get.

Yeah.  I mean, I don't want to sound like too much of a cynic but I'd seriously be surprised if more than just a handful of guys on tour use those DG Tour shafts.

Here are some photos from Golf Style magazine - it is a Japan magazine that did the Scotty Cameron World books.  They have incredible layouts and pictures of tour golf equipment.  It comes out in Japan every 2 months (6 issues a year).  Golf Classic (the other big Japan golf magazine) does a great Masters edition that shows full bag pics and lots of specs on players every July.  Here are some shots of Tiger's actual gamer - yes it is beat up pretty bad but it has made more money than any other putter in golf history.  There are also some pictures from Scotty's Studio (pics came from a member of TCC GSS_Bapesta).
