I really hate TM.

Take a guess.

Expecting both drivers to perform great. However, my past experience tells me that a retail 630 head will feel just as good, if not better, than a taylormade head that's had the tour treatment. And the supertri will probably become obsolete by TM standards by the middle of the season.

How does a driver become obsolete? This obsession with TM's product cycle is crazy. Who cares if you don't have the newest model. Doesn't mean that the R9 can no longer be hit does it? IMO you need to hit both drivers to see which one is best for you. Both of these drivers look to be excellent. I'm going with the Supertri as I am someone who needs to cut down the shaft and the ability to add weight to the ST is what I want. I am going to take a good look at the Mizuno Fairway though. That looks real nice.

Simply iterating the expected quick turnaround on new drivers from TM which we're all aware of.

im gonna try the Mizuno when i get fitted for clubs cause im getting the mp-68, mpt10 wedges and the mp woods and mp hybrid. If i dont like the driver ill try the taylormade out at the fitting centre in carlsbad. if i dont like that then ill move to something else.

My vote goes to the MP 630. I've playing the MP 600 for a little bit and prefer that to any of the TM drivers that I have had. I just sold my TM r7 SQ TP on Craiglist today. I couldn't wait to get rid of that thing. I have an 8.5 r510 TP that I'm trying to sell also. The r510 is a great driver just not quite as forgiving as the MP 600.

I'll probably never play another TaylorMade again unless I see one at Cosco for $99.95.:russian_roulette:

well I'll use Luke Donald as an example.  He's a mizuno staffer and yet doesn't use the MP630 but does use a TM driver.  Now I love mizuno and have their irons but that has to tell you something.

Joey,
It is a great looking head.

Any idea on how the speeds and results are compared to the MP-600?

Not Yet, I got some test sample from the Van and we'll try to look for the shaft to match it with.

Base on my past success with MIZUNO heads, Oban maybe?

We'll see. :)

You can drop spin by 500 rpm on the Fast Track versionby moving the weights, pretty cool. The MP-630 Fast Track is the best driver I have hit so far this year. I should hit the Supertri next week, I'm looking forward to it.

How much tour play does Mizuno get? That answers the question for me. Tough to beat TM on the woods.

Personally I would go with the Mizuno because the SuperTri seems to be just a blackened version of the R9 460 that weighs a little less.

I did just hear from my TaylorMade rep this morning that they will be coming out with a tour driver that is kind of modeled after the 510 TP in April, So that could be an interesting one to try out. Of course he did say it was going to be $600 as well...

See im not a big TM fan!!! I think there drivers feel dead and i like to feel my shots! Not to mention there stuff just gets more expensive every 6 months.
I would like to know how this Mizuno compares to a PING G10 G15

I think if Mizuno started paying people to play their woods like TM they might have more tour play.
