My clubmaker has the white/black stinger spikes in stock. Though they are labeled "made for Footjoy".

Stingers but I wanna try the Black Widow Tour

Stick with the Stringers, I just put black widow tours in my FJ's and after 4 rounds they are almost wore down to nothing. Going back to the regular black widows and might try out some Stingers.

Agreed had blck widow tour in three pairs of classics nike sp-8's and a pair of classic tours and icons but they just sem to disintergrate, and the dont clean very well even using high pressure air guns.

i have no gone back to using metal spikes in all my shoes nd using champ stingers (the newer model) when the course is rock hard.

side note. what are peoples opinions on the difference between the old and new chmp stinger models?

the adidas spikes that where never released and came with the tour 360s last year. Hands down the best soft spikes. Not being able to get my hands on those I use stingers, wear pretty quick but do their job.

I'm going back to the Black Widows after trying the BW Tour cleats.  I had high hopes of the cushion system and the ability to adjust the feel of the cleat.  Now, I absolutely HATE the 2pc. design.  They get grass between the sole/spike, shoving the spike fingers in weird directions which you can feel when standing (unlevel).  These will be coming out and putting a normal 1pc spike in for its replacement.

I have used the stingers for many years and find that they wear very well. I will agree though, that the adidas spikes do last a long time but I prefer having a bit longer spike. I still miss the days of metal.

I have had good luck with the black widow tours in a couple pairs of shoes, but for the money the champs really can't be beat. Good traction and last longer than any of the soft spikes IMO.

I have a pair of Bites with fast twists and for the life of me I can't get some of them out using the proper tools. Is there a trick to them? I do like the feel of the stingers.

If they are the original spikes that came with the shoes, try soaking the soles in hot water a few mins. If they are Not, check post #19

Stingers for me. I like the fact that I can find the black and grey ones for nike shoes at dick's. Has anyone noticed on the replacement black and grey stingers for nike shoes that they are not as sharp on the ends or is it just me?

i used the adidas spikes (DTAC) but they collect an unbelievable amount of stones and dirt. after replacing them last year (a box is about 15 euros) i replaced them with pulsar spikes today. played a round, like them.

I love the new puma quill spikes. Also neone ever try using a little acetone to melt the plastic spike screw to get them out? Seems like that would work but i haven't tried it.

I'm not too fussy about spikes/cleats, but I need to replace the ones in my Bite shoes.  I have a problem, though.  I am unable to get any of them on either shoe to budge in the least.  I've tried everything other than to heat them with the heat gun.  That might be next unless one of you might have an answer to my dilemma. thanks.

The Stingers are the clear favorite.  What is it about them people like so much?  The hard, sharp edges?

A lot of teeboxes at popular courses are in bad shape, even if you have two club lenghts back of the markers, the teeing grounds are too small to keep them firm, it's almost like hitting driver standing in a bunker. The Stingers give you a (although slight) better footing.

just changed my spikes in my Nike Air Zoom Elite II after owning them for 2yrs. love the Champ Stinger which is what i had in them before and got a brand new set in them now. will play tomorrow morning. i only saw the yellow/black and not the grey/black like they came stock with. i did see the "made for FJ" but they weren't Q-LOK.

It was always Black Widows for me but they don't seem to wear very well and often a "tooth" will break off one or more spikes on the shoe. I found a great price on Champ Stinger spikes in bulk on eBay and have now switched to them.

I always hated paying retail for a small box of spikes when we are a family of four golfers.  Never thought to look on ebay.  Thanks for the tip.

Champs and Adidas low profile are my two of choice, but I'd still rather be in 9mm of steel myself.

Black Widows are just awful.  Pulsars are worse, they pick up every single leaf like a park superintendent's pick up stick.

I seem to remember seeing a red/white version, but I cannot remember where, sorry.
Saw pink and white with small threads the other day.....I'm looking for orange and white small threads, like the ones on the FJ Sports.  Any help would be appreciated.

i prefer the stock adidas thintechs. give me enough traction but still feel nice and squishy like it adds a little level of comfort when walking on paths to the next hole.  i have noticed the bottoms of my adidas shoes getting very clogged up with pollen right now though

Prefer the Black Widow's. The Pulsar's are garbage in terms of durability, they break down constantly, need to replace bi-weekly.

The Stingers that came on my Icons were black and white, but I've never seen them for sale anywhere (probably proprietary deal with Footjoy).   I like the Stingers compared to the Soft Spike Pulsars as they seem to last longer and don't tend to clog as much.
