Those new wedges seem to have a bit of a different shape, and def a different grind from the previous Vr wedges. Very interesting.

Man, the whole SQ lineup can be summed up in one word, FUGLY.
The VR lineup is fine and those new wedges don't look bad, though.

New wedges could be a big hit, if they come out soon. The new grooves will be in high demand with Nike loyalists, but the lack of offerings will hurt sales, even though amateurs don't need to change grooves.

Nike really laid a big dud in terms of looks with these clubs.... hideous.... doesn't inspire much confidence looking at these things

As much as I've liked previous Nike models, i.e. Sumo 2 Tour (which I have and love), the Pro Combo OS's, etc... the only product, IMHGO, that looks good is the Nike VR Tour. Everything else looks terrible, especially with that Str8fit dog collar on it. TM, Cally & Cobra really do a much better job of hiding the adjustability feature.

A local retailer by me had the entire VR line up in the store yesterday and I had a chance to take a look at it.
The drivers, both Tour and Str8 Fit models, look very good in person. The 3 wood might take some time getting used to with the smaller head and the Str8 Fit hosel but all in all looked nice. Very traditional and clean heads with the black paint.
However, the VR Hybrids look really cheap. In my opinion, they would look much, much better if the head was painted all black like the drivers and fairways instead of the silver.

Machspeed irons are ugly. What kind of design is that? Also, the more
I look at the new releases from 2010 - there are no changes or innovation
compared to 08, 09 etc.

Hope Machspeed driver looks better in person than in the pictures. I really like to have one I'm still using my sumo 5900 square, dymo just didn't work out. I guess if it performs better than my 5900 i'll try it for awhile.

It's a shame that Nike does not have the V groove irons to
go with those V groove wedges...

I'm in the same boat. Hopefully it performs as I expect.

I was going to ask if the designer was watching a marathon transformers cartoon series?
...because those machspeed clubs sure look like the face of a transformer autobot:cheesy:!

I think that as long as the driver performs for the masses (which presumably the MAchspeed is supposed to be their more forgiving, less player oriented of their drivers, made more so for the weekend warriors) I think it will still sell about as well as other nike drivers (which you may or may not consider good, but that is another story). Everyone also said how ugly the Vr tours compression channel was until people realized it was a functional design and maybe it performed, and that it had a very traditional design when viewed in the playing position; so I am interested to see how it works out.

It's getting harder and harder to ignore Nike. They're REALLY stepping up their game in all facets.

In fact they do. Special order any Vr iron set with "V10" grooves and you'll be good to go.

Easyyy, can you please find out more info on the V-Rev wedges? Will they be a spring release?

I really like the look of the VR line. If you watched the videos the technology sounds good and I dont think the looks are overly bad. I cant't wait to try the Method and the VR driver and hybrids.

Interesting story about the hybrids! I just wish they could keep it all silver instead, without that black bow showing at address.

Does anyone know if Nike is coming out with a replacement for the Nike Vapor golf ball? I notice they don't sell this anymore nor is it on the website......

Finally hit the entire lineup today including the tour with the px 5.5
The tour driver is just amazing. Straight straight straight. The 5.5 was plenty shaft for me.
At address it's perfect. Doesn't look open actually, looks square to me. The shaft felt like the Diamana Blue to me.
The hyrbids are nice but the 909h is safe (I only play 21 deg and not that often).
The fairway woods are not that great IMO. Felt ok. The hozel really is ugly and I'm a nike guy.
I hit the str8 yesterday and again today. It's nice. Because of the larger head size, you really don't notice the hozel but the tour is where it's at.
Next weekend I'll hit it outdoors and make a decision.

I think the drivers look great, all of them, the str8fit hosel on the fwy's is a problem. The hybrid is horrible, I know the tour pro's liked and wanted it that way but they don't buy clubs. Performance wise I like their input, design wise, well lets just say nike should leave that up to the professionals, designers that is.

Not the Adams clubs that I play my man, lol... If Nike releases the new V groove wedges, fws with no str8-fit hosel
I would play Nike again. I like the VR hybrid 1000 times better than the VR fws and that is not saying much (hybrid is ugly too). I think Nike dropped the ball this year on a couple key product offerings.
