Fed Ex just showed up with my new Scratch Tour Department irons. They look awesome and set up great at address. I took a lot of random pic's so enjoy (taken with iPhone as that's all I got).

Here are my spec's:
LH Split CB's 3-PW, standard head shape, driver/slider grind, 1 degree strong (47* PW), 1 degree upright, white paintfill, intials on toe, brushed satin finish, black and white furrules, KBS black nickel 5.5 shafts, white new decade multi compound grips.

is that a new model--the split cavity backs? are they somewhat in the middle between the ez's and the other model as far as size? nice looking. where are the white ferrules?

These irons are in betwen the AR-1 and EZ-1 from what I was told. They compare very similar in head size to my AP2's and MP57's. Topline on the Scratch irons are thinner though which I like.

They made a small batch of these lefty split CB's from what I was told, so that's why you won't see them on their website. Required ordering through Tour Department. I worked with Ari and Patrick throughout the entire process. As for how long they take from order date, it was 12 weeks, but worth the wait for sure.

I will post a review for sure, but don't expect anything soon since it's winter here. Hopefully I'll get to a small range session next month.

Man, this makes the Wait even more impossible. I think my TD SB-1's shipped late last week. And love the ferruls, and I think mine are comming with something similar. I am going to get nothing done until the big brown truck gets to my office.

Thanks, ya I have 4 framed and a good dozen or more not framed. Those are from 2003 (D+T at Purdue) and (DMB at Tinley Park). My prized poster is the skull poster from D+T vegas which I attended. First show was 1999, regular stops include Alpine Valley and Deer Creek.

Finally made it out to the range to hit my new sticks. Upper 30's felt like 70's today, spring is just around the corner.

On to the review. Since I hadn't hit a club in over 3 months, I started out warming up with a AP2 7 iron. After around 15 balls, I started hitting it well and moved to the Scratch's. First impression is they felt awesome. A noticable difference in feel going from the AP2's to the Scratch. Nice soft unique feel, but not mushy. Felt even different than my Mizuno's but I think the KBS shaft has a lot to do with those differences. I love the shafts; the ball takes off and rises quickly and just carries and flattens. It has such a smooth feel to it and I'm glad I didn't soft step them. Was hitting a baby draw while compressing the ball. The sound at impact was so awesome.

The irons set up great at address and are really forgiving. Very comparable to the AP2's in terms of forgivness. As for distance, I'm not for sure, but think the AP2's might be a little longer, but nothing worth noting. I'll know for sure when I put them into play.

Can't wait to get them out to the course to hit them off of grass. Looking at the 10 day weather forcast, hopefully it will be only a few more weeks.
