How about TourEdge XCG3/CB3 head and Talamonti PD80 shaft?

How about TourEdge XCG3/CB3 head and Talamonti PD80 shaft?

The Talamonti is a great choice.  Its cool to see that its getting around the world, I know the creater of the shaft.  Also it depends on your swing and what you like feel wise in a club.

I found the BlueBoard 93 to be the best I've tried thus far. The Speeder 757 has been a great driver shaft for me, but it doesn't launch as high as I'd like it to with the 3-wood. My next stop in the ongoing search is going to be a VooDoo XVS7. I'll let you know how it works out. It's a little light compared to what I'm used to, but the mid kick should help my cause.

that being said, my 2 personal favorites this far, Fubuki and 'Ilima by Mitsubishi.

I searched and tested .. but the VS protos won and have been great for me. Nice flat flight and I don't have to worry about going after it. And if you look around you can get the for pretty cheap...

I had a 909 f3 15.5 with a diamana kaili and really didnt like the combo.

Im looking for something to lower my ball flight.

my driver swing speed is 115.
and im a scratch golfer.

ive heard the 8m2 from matix is good?

any other matrix shafts that are good?

My driver ss is 115+ similar to yours and I've had the best results in my 3 wood with:

-Fubuki 83x tipped 1" in my R9 TP 15
-F7M2 XX in a 909F3 15

PLENTY of the Matrix shafts are good! The most premium low launching Ozik fairway shaft would be the 8M2, hands down. In second place, the HD8 and HD9 tie.

My choice in fairway woods isn't exactly mainstream but the Fujikura ZCOM shaft is great for my game.

Depends on what you need for flex, weight, ball flight, etc...

Anyone tried a KBS  Tour 90 in a 3 wood? (at a slighty shorter length, maybe ~ 42 to 42 1/2" maybe?)

I really like the TM R9 FW heads in terms of feel and performance; they are straight hitters that get the ball up nicely off the tee or deck, yet easy to work if you need to. I have a 13* and a 15* that I switch between. As far as shafts go, I've liked the Grafalloy Epic FW and the Matrix F7M2 so far, although ideally, I want a combo of those two. The Epic feels better and is heavier (uncut I believe is around 86-89 grams) while the F7M2 has considerably less spin than the Epic and I hit it further, but feels a little dead. I'd guess something like the HD8/HD9 or Project X 8A2/8A3 would be that middle ground for me.

I really liked the Graphite Design Quattrotechs in my sig.  They are tight, mid flight and have enough torque to be stable.  They are different than the typical GD shafts which are soft tipped and kind of softer playing.  I had the XVS7 and that was a great shaft also.

I have about the same swing speed as yourself (110-115) and I've tried them all (not really) but out of the 50 that I've tried, the only one that works with consistency for me is the Accra SE 80 in M4 or M5 flex. Solid and smooth. Ultimate control and NO loss of distance.

It's also fits a wide array of swings as I have a bad back and some days I can't muster 100 mph while other days I can rip it and this shaft handles it all. I've had it in 4 heads and works great in all of them.
