He's gonna need those tournament winnings to pay for the rock on that girl's finger.  Good gosh!  I like how simple his set-up is.  All Titleist.

I wish more Pros had videos showcasing that bag.

Nick has as close to my "dream bag" as it gets without having it exact (I would just switch the irons to AP1's, don't think I am good enough for AP2's).

OK so Nick just inspired me to pull the trigger on a xsv8 (couldn't get the xsv9 from titleist)  to go in my 910h.  Has anyone tried this combo and if so how do you like it?  Thanks for any insight!

I'm wondering how he changed from an 83 whiteboard to a AD DI7 with no change in head.  What gives?

DI-7 is still a pretty low spinning shaft.  Probably just hits it a tad higher than Whiteboard 83.

Wait, he plays 3-PW and the equivalent of a 3H also? That confuses me. Why would he play that? Unless in the 712 AP2's they added 3 degreed of loft to the 3 iron, but I doubt it.

Why would a 21 degree hybird and a 21 degree 3 iron go the same distance for a good ballstriker?  Shaft is probably 30-40 grams lighter and 1.5-2 inches longer.

Even still, since he doesn't have a 5 wood, he has a massive gap from the 3 wood to the hybrid. It can't go that much farther.

I would highly doubt he has that big of a gap.  His stock 3 wood probably goes 260-270 from the ground and his hybrid 240.  I hit my 19 degree 910 hybrid about 240 and he hits it a lot better than I.

I've always found hybrids to be longer than the corresponding iron it replaces so I'm guessing that he doesn't have as big of a gap as you imagine.  If he's even one club longer with the hybrid than his 3 iron, that would make it about 2 iron distance and aren't 2 irons roughly equivalent in distance to a 5 wood?

Dude does seem to be a bit quirky....sure he has his gaps down to a science.  Probably 15 or more yards between hybrid and iron.

Watney set up shop on the right end of the range, where he was delivered a set of new Prototype AP2 (712 series) irons, custom built to his specifications: True Temper Dynamic Gold shafts; standard length, 1º upright; 2º weak in 3-5 and P; 1º weak in 6-9.

Interesting, it sounds like he plays AP2's strictly to help the ball get in the air. I wonder why he doesn't play MB/CB's and just bend the lofts weaker.
