No alignment aid on his putter, not even a mark for the sweet spot. That is pretty unusual.

Awesome looking putter!! I would love to get my hands on that one or his old Oil Can tour only Newport Beach!  Still my favorite player on the Tour.  Hopefully he can get in all the majors this year and win a tournament or two.  He can really go low for a round, but has had problems putting four good rounds together in the last couple of years.  He can still bomb it out there with the big boys too!

+1 on I hope that they bring it to retail but i doubt that it will. Looks to be a Laguna style head but I could be wrong. Regardless its one sick looking putter.

Other then the stamping what makes his putter a prototype, looks like a pretty standard newport to me?

That putter is a 009 (or a variation thereof) and not a stock Newport. They're very similar in overall design, but there are minor differences in dimensions and a subtly different look at address between the two models.

The 009 and Newport shapes are broadly analagous to some of the variations in shape of the Ping Anser over the years. To a layman the Ping Anser has always been the same shape, but to an Anser anorak there are lots of different models within a model. Same deal with the Camerons.

As for the stampings, who knows? Perhaps it's that distinct rarity amongst 'prototype' stamped putters: an actual prototype?

That is the Attus, I see alot of people are going to it these days. I just picked one up in the 9x and it is a great feeling shaft.
