348 yards on a 508 yard par 5.  Had 160 yards for the second shot into the hole......   This was during a Egolf Amateur tournament.  One of my playing partners was questioning my handicap until it took 6 more shots to complete the hole.  Appropriately enough, I stood on the next tee box steaming mad at myself, only to have it start pouring rain.  The black cloud did follow me to the next hole  :o.

Longest drive was 305, but it was downhill and ran down the cartpath.  I was playing the Mizuno MP-001 at the time.

The second longest drive I have had was 295 at Tour 18 in Flower Mound, TX a few weeks ago with my 10* FT-i.  It was #16, which is a recreation of Augusta #11.  I still managed to bogey the hole.

LOL, quite a few of my longest drives were followed up by a chili dipped wedge on the next shot.  Drives me f'ing bonkers...

Last Sunday, I hit a good one on 18 at Brookside (Rose Bowl). I marked it off with the Skycaddie at 322 in mushy conditions. Hit the green with a 56° wedge and 4 putted... Had 41 total putts for the round. I suck.

Back to topic - The stick: Titleist 909 D3 9.5° w/ Diamana Whiteboard 73X Flowerband. All standard.

Longest ever?, not the above for sure. I'm usually the "go to" driver guy in scrambles, so I don't take as much joy in a long drive as I do when I sink a putt on the first go for bird or better. :black eye:

Longest EVER
406 yards. I remember that because I was at Gaylord Springhouse on a 506 par 5 and the GPS thing said I had a 100 left. It was downwind to an extreme and the fairways were concrete hard of course.
Probably 30 MPH wind? Fairways hard enough to play basketball on.
Tour Burner with Fujikura E-260

Longest ever with no wind and this was actually uphill.
370 yards
This was during the School Days tournament in Tennessee for you TN livers.
McCabe Golf Course, South Side, Second Hole.
Playing 470 yards. Had 100 yards left.
Tour Burner with Fujikura E-260.

On the second one, I actually swang at 70 percent. I'm not saying it would have gone further or anything. I just think I hit it that solid on that certain swing. if I swung at 70 percent again I really doubt it would go 370 again. Lol.

Longest ever, 387 yards. 17th Hole, Wentworth West course, It was that frozen a runway would have been softer. Hit a slingy toe hook round the corner and thought it was OB. Found it 150 yards further up from normal in the middle of the fairway.

That was with a 975D 7.5 proforce 65 s. About 7 years ago.

It's the only memorable one I have. I eek out a big drive every now and again with favourable wind or bounce but nothing near that.

This is the Junior / College section right ?

Now either you've jumped in head-first without looking; so keen were you to tell us all about your mammoth length Ben, or this post is in reference to a time long, long ago when you actually were a junior.

Which is it ?  :cheesy:  :cheesy:

***PS: Friend of mine who is not a huge hitter did similiar at my home track in the ice,and is the only person ive seen 3-putt our nearly 400 yard odd 17th for a par, after driving the green from the tee !

Well I'm sixteen now but my longest drive was when i was with twelve, yes twelve as sad as it sounds. I was on a trip in South Carolina with friends and The hole is a bit down hill and its around 335 to the green over water. Well I swung at it as hard as I could and hit it high on the face a bit off the toe. I picked my tee up in disgust and looked at the ball thinking that its about to splash into the water.....but it didnt ahha it made it around 305 carry over the water....So yes that was my longest!

The proof is in the SkyCaddie pudding.  This was at Horseshoe Bay on a downhill hole.

Posted Image

The longest I've marked on my skycaddie on a flat hole was 309.  But I am usually in the 270 range.

Fall 2006 at Forsyth Country Club, Winston-Salem NC hole 16. Pushed my drive out to the right and hit the path. It took two huge screaming bounces following the dead center of the path and came to rest in the rough about 425 out. Proceeded to chunk my pitch then got up and down for par. Remember it like it was yesterday. I cramped up laughing.  Usual drive is 250 to 260 with roll.

Well my longest drive was actually off the fairway but hit with a driver. Was 315 out and used my old Orlimar Trimetal fairway wood which was basically a driver. There was a twosome putting out on the green and I was playing with a friend of mine and his dad. It was my first time playing with the club and decided to give it a whack. Well the ball took of like a fricken dart and we just sat there dumbfounded. Finally my buddies father starts yelling fore and the ball lands on a hill that is over the green. I never came close to hitting the ball that well with that club ever again. To this day every time I see my buddies dad he still talks about that shot.

475 7.5 Krank El Diablo with House of Forged Whoopin Stick. Downwind on hard Arizona fairway in summer 2008.

In comp, 360 with same club, Local LDA qualifier in neutral conditions.

Since then have had better results with a 6.5 Cobra speed in casual practice, but haven't teed it up at a REMAX Qualifier since. Maybe again this year. Or maybe not...Getting Old!

Let this thread ride, and some REAL beasts may come out...there's more out there than you think. Went to Regionals...haven't felt that small in a while!

List the length of the drive, club(head type, loft(if known), and shaft(if known), and date(if possible). NO LYING!! Please tell the truth! We all know the longest you've hit, was you best. So no lying!

Here's mine- 303 yards, TM r7 Quad with a Fuji Tour Spec Speeder 757 S, on 11/26/09.

Broke my record today, then did it again:

330 yards, flat par 4 13th hole at Red Tail in Devens, MA. Speedline Classic 8.5° with a 70x Kai'li, TM TP Red ball, just a straight boring drive that probably rolled about 30 yards. Left me 15 yards or so to the pin.

Then, later in the round:
340 yards320 yards, par 5 18th hole. Got it over the hump that's about 270 out and from then it's a downward roll. The drive on 13 was hit better but this one played the hole perfectly.

I usually drive it 270 - 280, 290 - 300 if I can split the fairway without much sidespin. Drives over 310 are rare for me.

Edit: Went to Google Earth to verify distances (no GPS unit in my bag). The course yardages are a bit off. 330 yards on the 13th was the longest drive I've hit.

About 360-370 yards. Par 4 on a course in the middle of a drought so fairways were baked out and hard. Hole was downhill and downwind as well. Nike Sasquatch Tour 9.5° with a Grafalloy ProLaunch 65X.

Dont know where this thread got dug up from, but dang how 6 months has changed dude your new long drive isnt even close to that thanks to your New Mexico trip. And maybe even a few rounds I have played with you. As much as it pains me to bring it up the 344 yarder you had at PCC after a night of complete black out drinking and zero warm up swings then step up to the first tee and drive the green was just sick!

For me as Fore_Life as my witness I boomed a 358 yarder at Ahwatukke CC hole #7 about a 10-15mph tailwind playing an 8.5*hyper x tour at the time I just mashed one down the right side that caught the top of the mound and rolled out to about 20 yards short of the green, I was laughing too hard over how far I hit it and hit a terrible chip and had to 2 putt for parPosted Image .

Sorry Mark but I got to take claim on this one, we were both Gps'd about a month ago on the 630 yard 18th hole of Stoneridge in Prescott. Me 335 Mark 334 HEHEHE. It was downwind though and I took full advantage of the great kick of the mound on the right vs Marks pure drive down the center.

Hahaha you got me on the one at stoneridge, but in all fairness, I missed that one a little bit hahah.

The one you mention in New Mexico was 402 on the GPS, dont think Ill ever top that one again. That same day, I drove another par 4 playing at 350, but I hit a high cut onto the green. I wish the carts at PaaKo Ridge had GPS when I played there. I absolutely MACKED on one on hole number 7 where I flew the corner on a 480 yard par 4 and had 45 yards out for my 2nd shot.

Dude, you shouldve seen Daniel hit the Hammer the other day on the range at ancala, he was absolutely killing that thing!

Hmm maybe its the uniflex shaft and inverse clubface that he needed. Lets see if we can talk him into growing a mullet.

Oh just wait until I get a fast ten dialed in provided I dont loose any swing speed from the hip injury I may only be 15 yards behind you guys instead of 25-35. I dont know what happend but you and me used to be the same length off the tee, then something clicked and you started booming it.

The longest drive I've ever hit was over 400 yards.  Not lying either.  However, consider the circumstances.  It was at Kapalua Plantation course.  I forget exactly which hole is was, but it was downhill and very windy that day.  I thought I was going to get blown away.  I remember hitting that sucker past the green and making a par.  Posted Image   I used the original r7 quad, 9.5*, with the stock fuji fit on shaft.  Of course this was many years ago.  I recently hit one at my cc 330 yards and I haven't hit one that long in a loooong time.  I usually average 290 total distance off the tee, so it goes to show you how much wind and slope play a factor in my longer drives.
