The room or "store" spray is where it is at.  The scent of just the cologne lasts fairly long with 2-3 sprays on clothing.

I can smell the Ambercrombie store from the parking lot.

Haven't worn cologne since Snoop said Johnson Baby Powder and Coolwater cologne. Now I can't stand it. Most people don't know how to apply just a little. Take a shower and get a good aftershave.

Off course about 85% of the time I wear cologne or body spray. On course I use body spray. My father always wore cologne or aftershave and i guess I picked it up from him.

My father used "Vitalis" and "Old Spice", he passed away in 1972, but I can still remember that great smell today.

I have a cabinet full of smelly good stuff.  Right now in rocking D&G but my favorite all time is Armani Emporio.  I wear a little on the course just because I cannot seem to leave the house without a couple if sprays.  Old habit I guess...

Haven't used underarm Anti Perspirant in 35 yrs. Shower and splash rubbing alcohol, wipe dry.

The very first time I walked in a Golf Club locker room, it smelled of "duck with a broken leg" from the shoes in and on top of lockers......Instant and permanant OCD. I buy eau de toilette/parfum for men that I spray inside my Golf shoes as soon as they come off. Do they need it? Absolutely not! As I said: OCD. I've used Paco Rabanne, YSL, Armani and such. Now using Swiss Army, altitude; cheaper and just as effective.

FWIW, the last time I bought a bottle of after-shave was 40 yrs ago. IIRC it was: English Leather, wind drift.

This and Green Irish Tweed are my favorites.

I like Terre D'Hermes and some of the Hermessence collection we do but when you smell it all day, every day I don't want to smell it outside of work.

Not a fan at all of MI or GIT, I find them overrated and played out due to so many knockoffs out there.  Aventus is most certainly their star. And SMW is highly underrated as is VIW for summertime.

And a big +1 to Ambre Narguille of the Hermescessence line.  One of my favorite frags for winter.  Veviter Tonka is also great for Spring.  Brin and Santal are high on my list to try as soon as I get the chance.

I too find those modern concoctions that pass as perfumes very offensive. Particularly in restaurants where it interferes with my senses and kills the wine. That said, bodily smells fm sports and/or locker room funk is even more offensive. A neutral deodorant and a slight application of Creed, Trumper or the like is in order and should be compulsory ;) If anyone picks up any of those, they're likely not observing appropriate gentlemanly distance.

The key with any scent is applying the correct amount...no need to be overbearing

PM me your mailing address, I have about 6-7mL left of a decant of SMW from a few months ago that I'll send ya if you want. Since I bought a 2.5oz bottle I really don't need the decant any longer. I have enough decants in my gym and golf lockers anyway.

Cool.  I was wanting something with Lavender undertones for Spring/Summer and was between this and Lavender Palm, you just made my choice easier.

The licorice dominates any amount of lavender that is in it.  Mix that with the leather smell that is in it and it isn't pretty on anyone.  The sales associates hate spraying it for clients... it lingers in the store for hours.

Truly the most subtle and compelling is a small California brand called Gendarme. Not that I particularly care any more but, women still swoon when they smell it.  It is available on their website or at Barney's in NYC.

Usually something subtle for  most days. I don't think people should smell you unless they're pretty close. I switch it up a little for date nights.

Maybe a tiny bit to the course during the winter, but not too often. Never during the summer. I also wear unscented deodorant there as well when the heat is on. I don't need bees, wasps, hornets, and yellow jackets trying to get friendly with me while I'm lining up a putt.
