I saw Camilo hit a 909 hybrid or fairway wood today in Dubai! Is he, as Geoff Ogilvy, going to join Titleist in 2010?

Cobra is completely dropping their tour participation starting in 2010...both cobra and titleist are owned by the parent company Acushnet golf...i would assume the cobra guys like camillo, jb holmes, ogilvy, etc will just switch to titleist

Camilo has been playing that 909h well before there were any talks of Cobra pulling off tour...

24-degree with Project X HC-1 shaft.

Could they play Cobra Equipment, like a Wood if they wanted to? But they would not get paid for it.

Or you can be a Titleist staffer and play Cobra Clubs

Ricky Fowler plays a S9-1 Pro 3 wood (best 3 wood made today) so does Ross Fisher

I thought they can mix together what they want. For example Ian Poulter is using Titleist FW's...

I was told that we will continue to see Cobra clubs through the 2010 season and PGA Tour players with Cobra will be serviced out of the Titleist Tour Vans.

It is not rare to see a cobra guy with a few titleist clubs and vice-ver-se

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if you see the Cobra guys still gaming Cobra clubs but wearing Titleist apparel (hats) for most of 2010. I bet it's around 2011 when you will see some of these guys either go all Titleist or leave to another company.

Don't you just love when someone hears a blurb about Cobra rolling back its tour presence, then proceeds to turn that information into the following rumor "Cobra won't be a company anymore in 2010"!

JSGolfer12 has it right from everything I have heard / read. They are going to cut costs by combining tour vans to service both brands. Cobra players that are still under contract for next year will still play Cobra clubs. Those whose contracts are up (like Ogilvy) are going to Titleist (if resigned), or will be looking at other brands.

Why would they not get paid, it's the same company
